Heat @ Celtics
The Heat look to avoid an eighth consecutive road loss to Boston as these Eastern Conference rivals battle this afternoon.
Ray Ray could miss today's game..
However, the Celtics haven't missed a beat w/o Allen due to big performances by Pierce and Garnett.
These guys may be getting old but they are motivated to win.
Boston has some serious defense especially at home where they look to protect their 7 game home winning streak.
I expect better D, a higher FG & 3PT % & better ball control from the hot Rondo.
Celtics are 4-0 in their Last 4 Games & are 5-2 when dog's of 1.5-5.5 pts.
Dezzy's Selection: Boston Celtics +4 Wizards @ Raptors
Still no respect for these Wizards....+6.5...?
The Wiz look for momentum to carry over against the Raptors (17-35), whom they've taken two of three from this season.
I hear Nene is questionable, so I would keep an eye on that as he has been playing well.
Washington is 2-1 in their Last 3 Games and seem to have gained some confidence since making a few moves to better their team.
In addition to that they received a huge offensive boost Friday from Cartier Martin who only signed a 10-day contract.
I am mentioning Martin because that is just a small piece of the depth that the Wizards have.
They have the edge over the Raptors in the depth/bench dept.
Jordan Crawford and co. should have no problem putting up points against the short handed Raptors.
Look for them to get a few put backs on the offensive glass and force Toronto into foul trouble.
Dezzy's Selection: Washington Wizards +6.5 Hornets @ Suns
This one jumped right out to me, I question why this Suns team should be laying double digits to any NBA team...
Eric Gordon may return today for the Hornets, if so that would provide a huge up side for this team.
Suns are playing short handed as they will be with out Grant Hill for several weeks.
I expect the Hornets to be dogs as Trevor Ariza and Chris Kaman will miss this gm but I see too much value in the Hornets getting 10 points against a beat up Suns team.
Keep an eye on Gordon's status, if he plays he will be the difference maker and will keep the game competitive.
I think New Orleans will play better defense and will lead in total rebounds.
Hornets are 3-0 in their Last 3 Games while Phoenix is just 1-2.
Also N.O. is 9-7 when dogs of 8.5-12.5 pts.
I'll take my chances with a young short handed team over an old short handed team.
Especially when given a nice 10 point cushion.
