IMO..... They want the money on the White Sox so they raised the line higher on the Tigers because they think the Tigers will win.

okay see, I thought that was what u meant. But see in my opinion, I would think that vegas would want us to bet DET becuz they are showing that it's the favorite, and favorites are the "probable" winners. They set CWS at +130 becuz they want you to think that such a heavy dog really doesn't have a shot. To me they are saying here bet this DET but pay the juice to win and don't bet CWS becuz the plus money is saying that it should lose. In the end, you bet what we wanted u to (DET) instead of betting CWS and getting +odds becuz we secretly knew that CWS gonna win....what u think?

kinda simple where the line comes from just look at last 5 road games for Garcia... 18 earned runs

last 5 home games for Max... 7 earned runs 

now take last 3 games for both home or away does not matter...
Garcia has only lasted 13 innings and Max 19 innings
Max has not given up more then 5 runs in a game since the end of May....hence he should be able to keep the tigers in the game. 

sure Garcia has great numbers against the Tigers but i think the line is where it should be 

not saying the white sox are not good value but i think you THINK twice before hammering it especially since the white sox are a .500 team on the road while the Tigs are a shade under .700

i rest my case. good luck and good gambling

good thread..  papi agree w/ you that the Tigers are the play--  i'm not willing to pay the juice for a team of their caliber as of late.  they should win tom. I think Max will pitch a great game.

Today i was a little shocked w/ the whitesox being the dog, but took them on the alt. -1.5,,  i just don't see any value playing Garcia & wouldn't touch the Tigers on the RL the way their playing..

GL laying the juice, i hate laying juice so not gonna play, but I do from everything you said expect DET. to win & it's always good to be on Vegas side as a ton of people will be on CWS

i just dont get it. IF you know it's gonna win, what's wrong with the juice? whats wrong with paying 140 to get 100 or 280 to get 200...if you know its gonna win?

Garcia's home vs away splits

Scherzer's home vs away splits

 

Last Three starts of each pitcher. Whip is an important number to look at.  The tigers line up has been battered but, given the amount of chances they probably get tommorrow they will score runs. 

 

Garcia has an inflated record in my opinion. 

I don't disagrree with the line, might play the Sox even.  But more then likely lay off this one.

Forgot to mention that Scherzer does have a quality start against the sox as well.

Whoa!!!  This is starting to shape up as one of those under the radar double reverse trap games...   Tread lightly....  

For what it's worth I have this game as Chi -105,,  therefo e getting about 40 cents of value with the Sox....  Not really enough to demand an auto play,  but I'm going to put down a 3/4 unit wager on the Sox ML @ aroung

If you look at today's matchup you really wonder why the hell CHW are almost +130 dogs. Sure, Garcia didn't look great the last few starts but his career numbers are insane against DET. I would have expected the line to bet about even, right now it looks to me like the books are begging for action on the White Sox.

And if the books beg fpr you money on one side, they usually intend to keep it.

Over his last 10 starts, Scherzer has allowed more than 3 earned runs only once. Look at the teams he's been holding down in this time frame : Boston, Tampa, Texas, Atlanta, and these same White Sox. His consistentcy and command over the last month has been exceptional.

overnight my book went from -140 to -135 fro DET
and CWS from +130 to +115.

looks like they're getting what they want.
