Somebody want to tell me why Scherzer is -140 tomorrow?

Ok the White Sox are a hott team...

Garcia  10-4 4.73 era

18-6 3.74 era vs Tigers in his career

2-0 3.46 era this year against Tigers....

 

Scherzer  7-8 4.28 era this year

He has pitched 7.1 inning this year and gave up 3 runs... Thats all he has pitched against them.....

 

Somebody please tell me why Scherzer is that big of a favorite tomorrow? 

 Why should everybody not HAMMER the White Sox?

Probably because Scherzer has better day time numbers than Garcia and Scherzer is at his best at home. I still lean Sox with the hot offense.

Scherzer been lights out as of late.  6 of last 8 1 er or less.  4 straight at home with 1 er or less.  Dude has electric stuff.  He is dominant at home and during the day.  Garcia has hit a wall imo.  11 er in his 13 innings pitched.  He's been bad during the day and on the road...era's over 5 in both cases.  I;m on mad Max

I dont believe that is the reason that he is favored this much....

I believe they are begging you to take the White Sox tomorrow.... This might be a big play on the Tigers for me tomorrow.

Yea I saw all of those numbers and I agree that I think that Freddy Gar probably has hit a wall.....

Just cant believe that Scherzer is this big of a favorite....

Scherzer does have an electric arm... He just needs to add something to that fastball which he has tried this year...

i wrote the same thinkg in my thread..chisox looks like a huge suckers bet tom...thats a really strong line for the tigers tom..

Whitesox will win easily here. No need to discuss so much, PAPI. Just make money on this early game, and focus on much harder games later on...maybe fade your Sox vs the TribeJust saying...

Scherzer throws about 97-100 MPH. He has control problems, and location issues.

I'll take my chances with a 'playoof pitcher' like Garcia. Sox are moving towards the playoffs, and Tigers are trying not to lose.

Who is catching Scherzer? Anyone know? That's important, esp. for a young pitcher.

I mean seriously do you think that Scherzer is just coming up from the minors or something? He is not going to be scared to throw the ball to Laird tomorrow...

And Avila caught today so that means that Laird will catch tomorrow.... Not that it matters as they both suck....

If you have something to provide to the thread that is useful then post it... I have no problem with that... Trying to make money is the key to this thread.

I don't really play the OVER/UNDER, but I like my chances with the under 8.5 tomorrow. I see a 4-2 result here.

this line should have opened up as CWS at -120 in my opinion. Why detroit is -140 is beyond me.

I know this is gonna sound dumb, but when u say sucker bet does that mean the books are offering a nice dog value so you can play it on purpose?

When they set the line they know what side they want money on or which side they THINK is going to win.... They know all about public perception and everything else so they make the line higher than it should be.......Some people dont believe in it but I do

Sherzer is 5-3 and 2 no decisions in his last 10 games
Against the Red Sox he looked impressive holding the Red Sox to one earned run on nine hits and a walk, striking out three over 6 1/3 innings. I will be leaving this game alone. BOL to you MVP

I suck at understanding this. please bear with me papi so i can finally get this...fill in the blanks with cws or det

1.vegas wants us to bet on________?
2.vegas thinks ________will win
3.vegas knows public perception will want to bet_________
4. therefore vegas made the line higher on________
5. so we could bet on________

IMO..... They want the money on the White Sox so they raised the line higher on the Tigers because they think the Tigers will win.
