This ump cost me over 4.5 SO. He really should have 6 SO’s. Baseball is shit because if stuff like this. I think they should just go AI behind the plate. Old men who can’t see are deciding these games.
I stayed away from that prop because of the ump.
Scherzer U4.5 was -125, didn't like the juice. He couldn't even get into the 4th cause he's hurt again.

It was a foot off of the plate. I was there. Saw it with my own two eyes. Should be fired on the spot. Completely changed the 9th inning.

Big big big difference between starting the count 0-1 and take a clear ball four and then having to get your head right to hit on 3-2. Both calls were horrible but the strike two call changed the 9th inning.

You don’t think pitching ahead in the count doesn’t make a huge difference? It’s all been terrible. Like I said I’m another thread game 2 heavily favored AZ. 10 of 12 calls favored AZ.
the calls in the 9th were a wash. The biggest call of the game IMO was in the second inning on the pitch to Lowe. It was close but that’s been a strike most of the time. He then gets a hit and later scores on the Semien hit.

Of course I do. But you still have 2 more strikes to work with when you start down 0-1. Now on the other hand when you KNOW and you KNOW KNOW that you just got fucked out of a walk and did your job as a lead off hitter and now the count is 3-2 in the bottom of the 9th in the World Series not many players have the mental fortitude to get a hit on the next pitch. I figured unless it was a clear ball 4 the dude was getting out. Sure enough he did. The ump didn't even call strike two until he was two steps out of the batters box. It was disgusting.
Add to that now with a runner at 1st and no outs and Declerc capable of a blow up but now has to worry about base runners and the fact he can no longer pitch out the windup but must pitch from the stretch or slide step either way completely changes the dynamic of the 9th inning.

Home plate umps have been terrible the past 2 games for both teams.
Game 2 was pretty clean. Wolcott is rated #1 in accuracy for a reason.
But prepare for some inconsistencies in Game 4 and 6. Please refer to the link in post #37. Carapazza loves to ring em up, look for strikeouts in game 6.

Game 2 there were 12 documented errors by home plate ump Wolcott, 10 of those went against the Rangers. Yes he had the highest rating in MLB this year, he did not in that game.

@jesron1269 And there never would have been 3 balls if he didn’t miss the first call.
Maybe. Or maybe he would have been more aggressive at the plate after already down 0-1. You are completely missing the point. As a hitter down 0-1 you can come back from that. But there is something that is going to snap in you if you were up 3-1 and take a very clear to everyone in the universe strike 2 when you were already walking to the bag. Now you are swinging at damn near ANYTHING because you are beyond pissed. Like a bad beat in gambling. Just telling you and you can believe what you want but it is completely different scenarios.
