I called my Stock Broker today and asked, "what are you buying"?
 
His Answer: Canned goods and ammunition....

Ammunition sales are WAY UP some bullets are getting impossible to find.  That is because Obama is going to attempt to take away gun rights from Americans.  Slowly but surely watch them vanish

Funny Books. I just returned from Florida. Bought a new Colt .45 and did the ammunition research. Nobody has any so I bought 5 boxes of .45acp in Miami and checked it on Southwest Airlines to bring back.
 
Bottom line it's just like the oil longs and shorts....imo.
Obama scare, war ammunition buying, Winchester and other ammo suppliers holdind back because they're low on profit...etc etc....
Complete bullshit.

Obama will never take that right away...never. But the scare is on and the ammo man is playing the card. I paid 40 bucks for .45 on 50 count for ammo.

Whole thing is a scam. I bought a few jut so I could fire at the range with a full mag.

California doesn't even have ANY .38 ammo...lol.

Such a bunch of bullshit. Probably created by the gun industry itself to sell yet more guns.

How about the big scare that they were going to outlaw high capacity magazines? That became a phenomenal business when people feared it would happen. Gun owners buying shit magazines for crazy money because of fear. They see this shit on fox news and go out and spend their last grand on a weapon because they think that next month they won't be able to.

I'll bet you any amount of money that you want that this doesn't happen....not even close.  Maybe they make people have to register all guns....or have a waiting period.  Big FN deal.  Guns are going no-where.  Just more fear mongering from the right wing.

Cheers hutch. Not a chance. He may attempt to get 'certain' guns away from registered responsible gun owners but it will fail miserably.

Yup the scare is on. I couldn't find ANY ammo today at the shop. Checked some websites I used in the past and ALL of them are out of stock. I heard that there is legislation in a few states that no ammunition can be sold past June 30th, 2009 that's not "encoded" by the manufacturer. This isn't new news I just hadn't been following any of it and you guys probably know a lot more about it than I do. I don't know when this ends but like the magazine scare I mentioned earlier these guys are making an absolute fortune right now selling ammunition and thats IF you can find any.

Wallstreet. I do agree. The AR-15's and other semi auto rifles are completely ridiculous. I personally collect the older classic handguns etc because I appreciate the craftsmanship and enjoy target shooting. Home defense as well absolutely, especially after being held up and robbed at gun point once. I refuse to allow that to ever happen again.
 
I saw a .50 cal sniper rifle with a tripod for sale an on display out in Florida. There's no need for anybody to have that kind of nonsense.

I can get 150 units of .38  ammo for about $35
A Ak47 for about $200, and a 12 gauge shotgun for around $150.
.44 is very hard to find, and not cheap at all

If someone is going to come in, the odds arent that much better if you own a gun that someone STILL wont get hurt.

The problem is that the NRA is too powerful and congress isnt tough enough to put a stop to the weapons of mass murder.

I'm just saying that weapons are cheap and easy to find in my country, for obvious reasons. But not .44 ammo, for whichever reason it is very hard to find.

You cannot bash anyone period, me or anyone.

I find the idea of weapons of mass murder to be offensive, and I dont find humor or sport in people owning weapons that arent necessary and can cause mass murdering.

I used to have a semi automatic .45 and it was a pain in the ass.
I was more concerned about not hurting people or myself by mistake than protecting my house and family.
Then I sold it, never going to buy one again

My problem is not people owning weapons its that the NRA has so much power that almost any and all weapons are able to be purchased and that is wrong.

We dont need military weapons in our houses or on the streets, yet because of the power of the NRA, nobody will stop or limit the scope of weapons due to their money and influence.

The NRA is responsible for killing thousands of people a year, all under the phony guise of "freedom to bear arms".
