I've gotten 2 major viruses in the past 2 weeks that I suspect I got from Covers.......and I never get viruses......
These 2 I got are insidious......if anybody needs any suggestions I've done a lot of research and erradicated them on my own.....

If you know the name of the virus that helps.....there are specific steps depending on which virus.....
One is called Guard Online......it was the most difficult for me to remove.....
The second didn't have a name but was still difficult......
1) Run malwarebytes in safe mode.
2) immediately after go to bleepingcomputer.com and download rkill.exe (don't be concerned with the name)
3) run rkill.exe
4) this particular virus hides your files.....if so you need to download unhide.exe and run it as well to get your files to again be displayed....

Covers is not policing their ads......every site has ads......the more responsible sites "police" their ads and take precautions with software of their own to eliminate this malware before it has a chance to get to the user level....

Microsoft Security Essentials just detected and removed that from my pc. I have not clicked any ads, just browsing the forums. sucks

There is a next-gen group of viruses than can infect your pc even if you don't click an ad......used to be you got a virus by opening unknown attachments in emails.....not any more......
If you only even access a site.....malware from an unpoliced site can gain access to your pc and infect.....
