Canada's team has already broken the record for most gold in a winter olympics.  The record for most medals is 24, at the 2006 olympics.  Canada is guaranteed of 3 more medals in hockey, curling & team pursuit.  They need 1 from the Bobsleigh tomm!

How is Canada owning the podium when the United States has 34 medals and Canada has 21 medals?

Canada has more gold medals, which means they're on top more often, having more total medals is just renting the podium

That's bullshit! so the olympians who won the silver and bronze medals are meaningless? then why have silver and bronze medals? you guys are hilarious!

I'm not saying it's not an accomplishment to be 1st overall.  I'm just saying we have more gold medals & we are proud of it, thats all

Where was Canada in the 2008 Summer Olympics? Need I remind you... United States had 36 gold medals while Canada had 3 gold medals. United States had 110 total medals while Canada had 18.

this isnt a dick measuring contest, the past has no part of why we are proud.  Why do you need to be such a downer?  No one is denouncing the US other than that 1 moron poster.  The US is a powerhouse, we all know that.  They have 360 million people.  Canada has 33 million.  It's not a contest.

All we're doing is celebrating the best Winter Olympics in Canadian History, dont be a buzzkill

United States had more gold medals than the canadians in the 2006 winter olympics too. This 2010 winter olympics is not over either, don't be surprised if we catch you. Then you will go cry

They can win the rest for all I care, it still wouldnt affect how proud I am as a Canadian.  They won more medals here & there but I still don't care.  It still has zero effect on how proud I am to be Canadian.  Go Canada Go
