Look out for Iowa in the Big Ten West.. get Wisky, Neb at home, and no OSU, MSU, UM, PSU
Outside of @Pitt in mid September, they should be favored in every game until November 22
Northern Iowa Ball State Iowa St @Pitt @Purdue Bye Indiana @Maryland Bye Northwestern @Minny @ILL Wisky Nebraska
Fair enough, but what are we looking for as a sleeper team here??? A team that will produce a better record then expected? Or a team that will give us value ATS???

Defining sleeper as team that will overperform vs. expectations.. Iowa expected to finish no better than 3rd in B1G West.. has good shot to win it, imo.. ala ASU last year in P12 South

Yeah, it seems to be an overall consensus here that Northwestern is the Premier team to.rutn things around this year. Looking at their schedule from last the only game ya they got truly outplayed was thr Sparty game. Every other game was a OT loss or and valiant effort. They are also #3 on Phil Steele most improved team of 2014, which statistically speaking bodes well for the cats!!

Just to warn you guys who like iowa, every single time they are predicted to have a stellar year, they under perform. As a life long alumni and fan, I've got to warn you...bet against the hawks this year. As much as I would love to see them win 10 games or more...I am guessing 7/8. The teams I like (for example Maryland, Nwstern) are the ones who lost several games in the last few minutes by a few points...they ALWAYS seem to bounce back, the breaks seem to go their way the next year.

I think Michigan may improve in the BIG10 more than anticipated. A new OC, fifth year QB, and a couple of nice freshman in Freddy Canteen and Jabrill Peppers. But they get a lot of following and are most times not worth the risk.

@ Longhorn Hoosier. There's no way Texas doesn't lose 5 or even 6 games. I can see them dropping the ones you mentioned and probably getting creamed by Oklahoma State again. It will take Strong a couple years to fix that mess

sleeper team of the yr is the georgia bulldogs. They will bounce back from a mediocre season and stun the world by winning the sec championship and making the playoff. they will have a improved defense and strong run game with gurley and marshall

Hard not to agree with Manning, though I wouldn't say they're a real sleeper. It brings memories of David Greene being a 4 yr starter and DJ Shockley stepping up after being a full time reserve and leading UGA to SEC championship in 2005. He was surrounded by talent but has understanding of the system and was a sound leader. I see Mason having the same surroundings and the same prospect.

They might get there but they are going to lose to SC week 2

Agree much with the Miss. St. love being shown - Dak is improving as a passer and is hands down the best dual threat QB returning in the SEC after Nick Marshall.
The other sleeper I like is Ole Miss. They return beaucoup starters on both sides of the ball including a RSr QB and, I think this is the year all of the recruited talent the past 2 or 3 years starts to pay off. Rebels win 8 games this year.

I really don't see much value in Maryland being a sleeper in the Big 10. Yea, they may cover ATS, but overall this program was a bottom feeder in the ACC, and they will be in the basement deep in the BIG 10. This football program has a long way to go.

If a team is preseason top 20, how are they a sleeper?
When all preseason polls have at least five in conference opponents ranked higher than the team in question - Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina, and LSU (and some have a sixth - Texas A&M) that team by definition is a sleeper regardless of preseason rank. Don't be an behind.
