WHY DIDNT BYU KICK THE EXTRA POINT?

Can someone explain it? What’s the analytics?

Was wondering the same thing. Had asu +10 in a 13 pt teaser…..glad to have the push. My only guess is that because the total line was 51. BYU coach thought ASU would score and wanted the final to be 27to 24 to end in a push. Or maybe because BYU was rushing so well at the end, coach thought it would be an easy 2pt.

didn't want to risk a 2 pt return during a botched extra point try, which would have given AZ St an opportunity to potentially get a TD and a 2pt conv. to tie.

if this is true, your teaser will lose. 

Maybe at your book ties are loses. But not at mine :)

Most teasers reduce. 13 point teaser ties lose everywhere I have ever seen. 

I was just watching the game with the boys and we all wondered the same thing. Very interesting tactic by BYU

Sweetheart Teaser Rules

1. 3 team 10 points and 4 team 13 points Sweetheart Teasers never reduce. A ‘No Action’ result in a 3 team 10 points or 4 team 13 points Sweetheart Teaser will result in the entire wager being settled as ‘No Action’, provided all remaining bets are settled as a ‘Win.’

2. A 4 team 10 points and any 5-10 Team Sweetheart Teaser will reduce to a ‘No Action’ result and your odds will be adjusted accordingly. Sweetheart Teasers with multiple ‘No Action’ results may be subject to rules 1 and 2.

3. A ‘Push’ in any Sweetheart Teaser means the entire wager is settled as a ‘Loss.’

4. A ‘Loss’ in any leg of a Sweetheart Teaser means the entire wager is settled as a ‘Loss.’

5. For Cross-Sport Sweetheart Teasers, the payout is determined by the table with the lower value. For example:

My initial comment was well after the game ended.  Therefore, I already knew  the grade before I posted. I’m aware that all books don’t have the same rules. 

I’m dealing with one of the best books in the industry.

Any 3 team teaser or greater than 3 teams with a push will revert to the next lowest number of teams payout.
If a teaser has no payout in the next lowest number of teams and such teaser has a push or cancellation, it will be graded as no action.
