What are your thoughts Train?
Could see:
UCLA
Ohio St/Mich St
FSU
SEC conference champ
I think the NCAA would love to have as much diversity as possible in the 1st year of the playoff. Nobody really wants to see Auburn and Bama in the final 4 imo. Not a conspiracy theory, just sayin.

With their schedule such as it is and with everything they have coming back, it's difficult to imagine scenario where Florida State will not be in the final 4. They are the surest bet in the country to make it.
Every year I see people predicting that the SEC will eat their own and not make it to the national championship game, and I have consistently disagreed with that line of thinking. And even though I think there is probably more parity in the SEC this season than in seasons past, with two more slots opening up it is very difficult to imagine that a SEC team will not secure one of the 4 spots. The question is which team?
The SEC West has been the class of the conference for quite some time, and I really don't expect that to change this season. It won't matter who wins the East because they won't beat the West representative in the SEC Championship Game IMO. And with the likelihood that LSU will take a slight step back this season, that leaves Alabama and Auburn as the teams to beat in the West, and by extension, in the conference. And between Alabama & Auburn, there are several reasons why I would give Alabama the edge. So my second pick is Alabama.
That will leave the Big 10, Big 12 and PAC 12 fighting for the last two spots. And as much as I would love to see a team from the PAC 12 make it in the final 4 because it would keep more fans engaged in college football across the country, I don't see anyone emerging from that conference undefeated, and that may be what it takes. I really like UCLA out of the PAC 12, unfortunately I think they'll be the odd team out.
When taking into consideration schedule, coaching and what they have returning, I like for Ohio State to emerge out of the Big 10. So Ohio State is my third pick to be in the final four.
While Oklahoma doesn't have real easy schedule, I think it's manageably. I think they are a team on the rise and I believe the cream of the Big 12 crop this season. So I pick Oklahoma to fill the 4th and final slot.
So to recap, my final 4 teams are, in the order I think they'll finish:
#1 Florida State
#2 Alabama
#3 Ohio State
#4 Oklahoma
Of those four my pick to win the championship is Florida State.
