I've been going through the forum, and it seems like a lot of people like UConn because of their "strong defense." But I remember two weeks ago when UConn's defense got lit up Syracuse for 40 points. I also remember UConn's disgusting offense. Except for a couple of big plays, UConn couldn't do anything the entire game. And when I look at UConn's point output for the entire season, I see that they struggle to score even in double digits. They put up 7 points against South Florida?? What a joke.
The only way UConn covers tonight is if you believe football is rigged! There is no way UConn can keep up tonight. Pitt has been playing very well lately. They lost to ND last week (but had a great chance to win), and they lost to Louisville about 4 weeks ago, another game they had a good chance to win.
I think Pitt's biggest problem is their defense is susceptible to getting lit up. But UConn has NO offense. Any thoughts??

i agree with you here, but one thing I worry about here is this:
Pitt may be emotionally drained from the game against Notre Dame. I am sure there are several people patting them on the back telling them that they did a good job, and should have won the game, and that they should keep their heads up. Now they are on the road against UCONN. There is no doubt in my mind that Pitt is the better team, but can they get motivated enough to show up tonight? Which Pitt team will show up? The Pitt team that played Notre Dame? Or the Pitt team that showed up against Youngstown St? . We will see. I don't have money on this game, but if I had to choose, a side, I would pick the home team +3.5. If I took Pitt, I would try to buy it down to -2.5.
Just trying to give you points from a different perspective. Best of luck to you!

Thanks blp2422. Although they might be drained, Pitt should be motivated because they are playing for a bowl game. But you never know, Sunseri is known to play like a bitch.
As for tomorrow, I like Oregon -18 big against Cal. I am a Cal alum and haven't seen a shittier Cal team in quite some time. The team is in total disarray. Add to that Maynard (who is garbage in his own right) will be out, which means an even crappier QB will start in his place, Bridgford. This guy has played a few quarters this year, and every single quarter he's played in has been garbage. And, finally, Cal's star receiver Keenan Allen is out. As if they offense isn't disgusting already, it'll be downright awful this week. I see Oregon getting out to 35-3 halftime lead. For those who are worried that Cal will be at home, don't. Cal lost to Washington in embarrassing fashion last week at home.
I also like Florida -28 at home against UL Lafayette. Even with their anemic offense, Florida will explode this game against one of the worst defenses in college football. In addition, the Byron Leftwich lookalike QB of UL, Broadway, will turn the ball over at least 4 times against Florida's defense.

People keep talking about Pitt being emotionally down. I think they would be succeptable to a let down had they won. Losing, they are still 2 games out of bowl eligibility, and I just don't think a 1st year HC lets them come in a blow a chance at a bowl.
Regardless, how does anyone bet a team that cannot move the football. Uconn may cover, but you'll be on pin and needles all game and it won't be over til the last play. On the other hand, Pitt may come out and get after it and this could be over early.
