I am taking Oregon and I am laying the points here.
Oregon Run vs Iowa Run defense is the key match up. I think that Lanning creates enough off tackle and edge plays that he necessarily doesn't have to run straight at the teeth of the defense. Iowa only giving up one run play of 20 yards or greater is impressive, however records were made to be broke!
Iowa Offensive line will run the ball and this will be a grind and pound. If that is the case Oregon defense could stuff 7 in the box and say try and beat with the pass! I don't think Iowa has many passing plays over 20yards for the year.
If Oregon comes out balls to the wall and no huddle fast tempo and goes 3-0 this will play favor to Iowa. Dan Lanning has made the comment how he wants to start better and faster.
I see Dan Lanning pulling out all the stops and trying like hell to put 45 pts on the board for Playoff points. But then again, if you look at their offense out put vs similar talented teams it really isn't that staggering..
21 pts. vs Wisconsin
20 vs indiana
30 vs penn state
Something tells me with a week off that Lanning knows its not just this game, its remainder of the schedule and he needs to win out! a two loss Oregon behind Indiana and Ohio State might be a tough sell for the CFP.
Anyone else playing this game. It's ok to be on Iowa just love the discussion... any key injuries.

Man if you think Oregon is scoring 45 points at Kinnick you haven't done your research. I get that they are pissed being ranked 9th, but there is a reason for that. Look they got lucky to get out of Penn State with a win. Indiana ran right at them. Christ Wisconsin lost 21-7. Do I think Oregon will win the game...maybe. What people don't understand is the how strong Iowa's offensive and defensive lines are. Harrell got hurt and Montgomery replaced him and this team is totally different. Lutmer is playing some corner as well taking Lee off the field so they keep things in front of them and be even more aggressive. Iowa defense is going to put Moore in some spots that he hasn't seen before. He isn't good at going through his progressions and will rush throws. I think also what people are missing is that Moulton is healthy and so is Vander zee. They have a downfield threat now and Gronowski will try a couple shots at him. They threw 3 balls deep and all of them should have been completed against Minnesota. Their RPO game is really developing and like I said they have 5 offensive lineman that are going to play in the NFL. Weather is going to be absolutely a factor as well. 47 with rain all day. Special teams and turnovers are going to be a big part of the equation also. Kinnick is going to be rocking and I don't want to be Oregon walking into that place. Low scoring and a slober knocker. If Oregon wants to play that type of game and is up for it they will win, but if Iowa smells blood like they have against other teams of late...watch out, Iowa wins this game 20-16ish. Just my two cents.

Many of your points are correct. But I have a couple of rebuttals.
Firstly, Iowa has a strong defense. I will give you that. But Oregon is right there with them. Gronkowski has shown that against decent defenses he has had issues. He struggled against Indiana. He struggled against Penn St. That will continue against Oregon. They currently have the #1 pass defense in the nation. Iowa may have NFL prospects at the O-line. But Oregon has prospects all over that defense. Iowa will need the running game to be effective to have any chance of winning.
Secondly, yes Kinnick has home field advantages, but its not a night game. That's when it is really rocking. The fact that its mid-day takes a bit away from this.
Thirdly, Oregon is desperate at this point. They lose this and their chances of making the playoffs are going to fall off a cliff. They will be focused.
Having said this, it should be a good game.

i see the total is listed at 40.5 and that tells you right away what type of game we're going to be watching late saturday afternoon. should be a low scoring game. and another huge game for the hawkeyes as everytime they stepped up against a heavyweight they've been brought down to earth.

Iowas last 3 have played struggling teams and struggling offenses. I won’t bet Iowa as Oregon has the potential to score bomb Zoe’s more than Iowa’s last opponents.
Iowas D is always good but has appeared better because of wins vs Wisc, Minny and Penn St. I suspect Oregon to have the ability to keep the ball on offense more than Iowas last opponents. That pressures Iowas Offense.
Tough game that Oregon should win. Oregon is the west coast representative in the bracket.
