Any thoughts on how the new blocking rules will effect option teams? Can't find good info, just about blocking below the waist won't be allowed outside of the tackle box....would think that would effect sweep plays and guards pulling on swing plays.....Might see more penalties than normal which would really set teams like Army, Navy and AF back if they gotta overcome 1st & 25 very often....

 I definitely think it’s a real concern, but I doubt very seriously that they would implement rule changes that would completely negate the triple option and make it obsolete. We really won’t know until we see it, but I doubt very seriously that this will totally throw these teams out of whack. I have to believe the offensive stuffs have met with the rules committees and discussed what can and cannot be done.

regarding LIU-Post...

FIU ran for 318 against them last year, and 594 total yards overall...in only 49 total offensive plays.

wvu scored 66 points but COULDNT run the ball very well (3.9 ypc).

LIU has some decent offensive FBS transfers into the program. I think we see them throw the ball a bit. I would expect with just UMASS on deck, Toledo scores early and often and gets their 2nd string some good work in this one. the time to bet a toledo UNDER will be next week.
