Hoke not that great a record coming off a byes 10-8. This will be a very telling game for Michigan to see if they have given up on the season or still have some fight in them. MSU's bye is coming up and then the big matchup against tOSU. I look for MSU to look past Michigan and be in for a game this week.
BYU just flat out blew the game vs Nevada last week. The offense doesn't seem that bad with Stewart at QB. Both teams are good against the run and running the ball. The difference will be at QB even though Stewart is a backup basically I don't think Boise have a big advantage at that position. Other than early in the year Boise have not really been tested, I think BYU matches up well against them.

Cougs rushing defense has improved since early in the season. WSU is one dimensional due to the number of times they pass the ball but that is Az. weakness on defense. Az will be looking for revenge from last years defeat but as long as Wazzu doesn't coug it up Halliday will be able to put up yards and points.

Hit a rough patch here these past 2 weeks time to tighten up for the stretch run.
AFA @ Army+4.5
Houston @ USF+9.5
SDSU+5.5 @ Nevada
I think the two service acadamies are evenly matched I'll take Army at home getting points.
Don't know how UH is winning games with a 5'10" WR playing QB in a passing offense but they have their last two games. USF has shown improvement since last season. If the Bulls can keep Ward in the pocket and make him pocket passer I like their chances.
The Aztecs are pretty solid at rushing O/D ranked 22nd and 30th respectively and their starting QB returned 2 weeks ago vs Hawaii. Nevada is going to be coming back home from Hawaii they might start off slow like they have in most their games this season. If so I look for SDSU to get out to a lead and hold onto it till the end. I'll give the ML a shot later in the week

If Hawaii is going to pull an upset this would be the game USU is down to its 4th string QB who is a true Fr. Hawaii has played a lot teams close all year especially at home. They got out to a fast start against Nevada but eventually overwhelmed the Bows and won going away. There is nothing that stands out about Hawaii's D but they should not need to stand on their head for a Fr making his 1st start on the island.

Rough Saturday 0-5 this week the road to redemption or just to get back into the black. A couple of degen specials to get started right this week
BG+6.5 @ Akron 1u
N.Illinois-1(-120) @ Ball St.1u
Notre Dame+2 @ Arizona St. 2u
Akron struggles on Rush off/def and also strecting the feild passing wise. The starting QB Pohl is coming back off a concussion after missing the last 2 games which the Zips lost. BG has not played a game since Oct 18 it will be hard to tell if they will be rusty or rested because of it. Their D has given up a lot of points this season and a lot on the ground but most of that yardage was because of Wisky running for over 600 against them. This game is pretty much for the MAC East.
For NIU this is a must win game if they want to stay close to Toledo in the MAC West standings. Everything offensively revolves around the Huskies abilty to run. Drew Hare leads the team in rushing and passing and looks to be in the same mold as J Lynch who graduated last year. I look for NIU to handle their business in this game.

Life in the B12 has been up and down for most of the teams in this conference but one has steadily stayed consistent, KSU. KSU ranks in the top 10 in rush defense, red off/def, 3rd down conv. and few penalties int NCAA which tells me something I already knew this is a well coached team. This will be TCU's last test the rest of the year for them. TCU did not look good last week against WVU but they won the game in the last seconds of the game. The Frogs would of lost if they did not get 5 turnovers last week. With KSU only turning it over only 7 times this year I feel good about their chances of staying in this game and possibly winning.

Out of the 4 teams competing for the NC Bama has the best defense and is the best coached team. The two best Offenses will battle it out in the other game FSU vs Oregon. Even though they have the most explosive offenses I still like Bama's ability to control a game with a pro style offense vs. the field. It just seems like Saban and his staff have had his team prepared to get here and I expect them to succeed.

It seems like every team I'm on this bowl season seems like they rather be home than playing so I'm going to pick a team that seems like they don't mind playing in a bowl game. Rutgers has loss it's last 2 bowl games the current head coach hasn't won a bowl game yet and gets a nice incentive if he wins this game. Both teams defenses struggle so expect a shootout. UNC also fired their DC a couple of weeks ago so I see the defensive leaks to continue.
