Couldn't agree more. At first, seems like it could be a "vegas trap" but frankly I just don't think people know how bad this PSU team is. Keep riding the PSU fade bandwagon until the linesmakers adjust. Hey, I could eat my words, I'm not going to call this a lock, but I'm unloading on it come Saturday. Good luck

UM has 2 road wins in the Big 10 over the past 3 years.. their D is one of the worst in the nation.. not sure how you can lay points with this UM team..

I have been watching the Big Ten pretty consistently, and this is a pretty good game to bet on imo. I think this game comes down to match-ups for the Michigan offense, and Penn State does not match up well at all. RR has taken a lot of heat when it comes to this team, but I will say that with his style offense, he always does a great job exposing the opposing defenses weaknesses. In both the Iowa and MSU game, he had his offense humming up and down the field. Turnovers in both games killed them. With two weeks to get ready, I would imagine that taking care of the ball, making sure Denard makes sound decisions, was on top of his list. I would also bet that he has a great idea of how to get his playmakers in the right spot vs. PSU's weaker defenders.
I would assume RR will get back to what worked against much lesser defenses, like ND, Indiana and Uconn. Michigan absolutely loves the short pass game vs bad defenses. RR makes them try and tackle in space. Going up against MSU and Iowa, he had to try and press those defenses vertically because they were faster and much better tacklers. With a very young talented group of WR's, he will keep Denard's reads easy with the short passing game, allowing them to run in space. And if there is one strength in Denards passing game, its the short game. Roy Roundtree, Daryl Stonum, Kelvin Grady, Junior Hemmingway and a new comber to the mix, Jeremy Gallon, shoulb be able to create some good YAC. Of course, this will all be set-up because I don't think PSU will be able to contain Denard's running. And once Denard starts getting 5 to 6 yards a pop, the short passing game opens wide up.
There is no doubt that Michigan's Defense is poor, but you don't have to be great to stop a team that doesn't have a quarterback. Bolden (by all accounts) is out for this game and he was shaky at best when he started. PSU's two back-ups are very, very bad. Will they score on Michigan? Hell yes, because everybody does. The question is, can they score enough? I'm sure Royster will get his carries and probably have a good game, but the running game won't win this game for PSU. I would assume Michigan will load the box to stop Royster (their only true threat offensively) and make one of the two qb's beat them through the air. Michigan did do a fairly descent job putting both Iowa and MSU in 3rd in Longs, but Cousins and Stanzi are much better than what PSU has.
When I watched Michigan a few times this year, I was very impressed with their offense vs the two best teams they faced in MSU and Iowa. Again, if not for Redzone turnovers in both of those games, it could have been a much different result. I didn't think they would move the ball like they did vs those two teams. Imo I think Michigan will race up/down the field on PSU, and I just don't see PSU putting up enough points to stay in the ball game. Blowout? Probably not, but will Michigan win by more than 3? I think so. My best bet on the board this week.

I have written many things about this game...posted in the penalty box...
I think Michigan wins by double digits Saturday night. Penn State's defense is very beat up and Denard Robinson should have no problem pointing points on the board. Lets not forget that Illinois put up 33 at Penn State about 4 weeks ago. Penn State's defense has more injuries now then it did back then. Michigan should score 30+ points, no problem. Even though Michigan's defense is putrid, I do no think Penn State has the offense to stay in this one. Penn State's weak offensive line is a liability and Michigan should be able to contain Royster.
Bolden will play Saturday against Michigan, but it should not make much of a difference.
