Schnell said the kid who will be starting this year is doing so because "he's all we've got." Not exactly a ringing endorsement.
That makes no sense. Van Camp averaged 7.5 yards per attempt last year, and had 12 TDs and just 2 INTs.

Let me try again:

unfortunately, UAB no longer has Mr. Everything, Joe Webb, who accounted for like 50-60% of their offense last year...
if UAB still had Webb, i would be willing to lay about 24+... without him, it's an unknown situation... guys like that are not easy to replace...

Good information guys! I dont know about the spread in the first game but Michigan St should win by 35 over FAU.
The under looks solid in FAU's first game, good luck!

“If our offense can move the ball for three or four drives a game I think we’ll have a real chance to win,” he said.
Actual response by FAU beat writer Ted Hutton, an Ohio native with no personal ties, only professional, to the Owl program-
"That’s not asked a lot of an offense, but for this offense to score three or four times might be asking a bit."
Starting right guard Erik Hansen is listed at 6'5'' 280. Of course all of these measurements should be taken with a grain of salt, but this one should be taken with a fistful. He's 6'5'' but is closer to 240 than 280. This kid, yes a guard, looks like a receiving tight end.

UAB is in a similar situation, stout defense, no proven offense whatsoever. And the best part is the O/U number is 54!!! As I have posted several times in other threads, my top play of the first week of the season is FAU/UAB UNDER 27 1st half. We all know nothing is guaranteed in this business, but that looks about as close to stealing as it gets IMO!!!

Would like to take FAU, but that O-line scares me and it's already been posted(by boookie) that good old Howard doesn't give a rats butt about these games and will shut down early to protect players for Conference play.
