I have no action on the game, I was watching Oklahoma, but my buddy is a Miami fan and asked to watch them for a bit.
So I tune in and see VT get award a catch on 3rd down where it looks on video that the ball was not controlled and hit the ground.
But they called it a catch, whatever, no big deal. They dont review it, VT gets up to line quick to go for it on 4th. Miami stops them.
But wait wait, Cristobal called a timeout. Ok so they huddle up go back out and VT decides to still go for it.
They snap it and Miami stops them. But wait wait, they are now reviewing....THE PREVIOUS CATCH PLAY! So they had after the play, plus a timeout to review it, but instead they wait until after another freaking play to now review it?
So they review it and hold up the previous decision that it is a catch! Nothing has changed. Never mind that on video you can see its not a catch. That's really not even the egregious part of this whole debacle.
So now VT gets to line up for a 3rd try on 4th and 1!
They snap it and Miami gets through and stops him and drives him back. But despite his forward progress being stopped since he is clearly driven backwards they let it keep going until VT can get more players in there to turn him around so he can miraculously dive for the first down.
Again I have no action whatsoever on this game and I'm not a conspiracy guy but this was the most outrageous piece of officiating I've ever seen

Not watching the game, but that sounds absolutely bizarre. We've all seen our share of questionable officiating, but this has got to be up there. Based on what you shared here, I think there is grounds for Miami to file a complaint.

Inadvertent whistle ..... refs have money on Miami? Crap happens both ways!
Yes, they are just incredibly incompetent, they can't seem to call a game correctly no matter what. I only saw that one brief series of the game and it was so bad.

@Yanasaur I read every word of it and don't believe as single bit of it
Ok well that's on you. I mean you can watch it and see for yourself. I didn't just make it up. I happened to tune in for a few mins and saw an outrageous series of events.
