He is fun to watch no question but that schedule is a joke. Houston will play no significant games in the 2011 campaign and watching him run up the scores on the likes of UAB and poor Tulane is probably losing him votes more than gaining them. I think he can play on Sundays but the Houston QBS of the past always seem to struggle in the NFL because they are system QBs preying on weak teams in a weak conference.

on most years Keenum would be getting serious consideration... but this year, you have a bonafide #1 NFL draft prospect, playing on an undefeated NC contender in the Pac-12, putting up less gaudy but more impressive numbers, given the extreme difference in level of competition between the two teams...

i think if you take Luck out of the picture, it becomes a contest between Keenum and the top RBs...

Off the top of my head, Andre Ware, David Klingler, and Kevin Kolb all put up huge numbers at the Univ of Houston with no notable impact in the NFL. Keenum might be better than those 3 so I will give him a shot...he does throw a nice ball....I will give him that. I think he will get to NY for the ceremony but I think he finishes 3rd in the Heisman voting.

You guys are a joke. Every freakin year we ask A&M, Texas and other name schools to play us anytime and anywhere for non conference. Oh no, "We would rather play RIce" they always say. Okie St. and Texas Tech finally said yes and we beat those guys in 2009 with this current team but youger.. The big boys play these bad C=USA teams during non-conferenceand don't come close to blowing them out. Keenums accuracy, reading the D, escapabilty, and placing the balls only where the receivers can catch has nothing to do with the competition.

Barkley is better than Keenum,and a better pro on his size alone...

Keenum's a little guy..big heart though..6th year senior...

Ware..Klingler and Kolb were just as good...

Chang..Harrell..Brennan ...Kingsbury....all great statmonsters,but they were 2 small to play in the NFL...

&#xD;&#xA;Why do smaller schools never realize this?  In basketball and football, some of these small teams always piss about people not wanting to play them.  Utah state in basketball, boise and now Houston in football.  Its a zero sum game thats why Texas doesn&#x27;t want to play you.  Although I doubt you asked directly for a road game with any of them.  You guys (small schools) always want a home and home when you haven&#x27;t earned it.  I Digress.  There is nothing to be gained from Texas beating the snot out of you.  If they do its chalked up to "we saw this coming, Houston blows."  Yet if you do win, you&#x27;re still not taken seriously, but Texas just lost to lowly unproven Houston in what many will determine a fluke game, since we won&#x27;t get to see it again in real competition.&#xD;&#xA;You&#x27;ll play a real team in a bowl game, lets see you hang 73 on them.  You won&#x27;t play a team worth playing ALL season, the fact that the Heisman talk is even mentioned is a joke.

Also, to say that you beat OK state and TTU in 2009 with the same team but younger then is meaningless.  OkState 2 years ago is nowhere near the team they are now...pointless statement.
