I'm with you on a bunch of those Bert. Troy/Minny will definitely be my large plays of the week....along with UK as my 3rd. OU and PSU should easily roll, but PSU has some question marks and the first half line might be a better play. Other games (which I'm on) are Neb and LSU. Who knows which team shows up for both, we'll see.

the other plays look good as well but I am staying away for now ...
Jump on that Arizona -12... CMU doesn't travel well and should wilt in the heat... The Wildcats are just to be Big on the O-Line and might run for 250+

Agreed, get on Zona big.. rb's are studs, defensive front will dominate a fairly weak CMU o-line. LeFevour will make plays, but can't do it all. Arizona -12

I love the Wildcats in Week 1. Miami (OH) is gonna stink it up this year. I the UK has this covered by halftime.
I'm with you on Troy, Penn St, LSU and I love Cincy catching points. I think OU is a good play, but there are others on the board that I like better.
I'm going to stay away from that Minny/Cuse game, I'm still up in the air about how good Minny will be this year and what the SU QB situation will produce.

Don't get the Zona love...... only reason i might see it is because C Mich tends to take a pass on these non conf games at times....especially with Mich St on deck (would think they skip this one ....focus on next week)..... BUT....Zona flaky.....OL / QB are question marks.....Grigsby and Gronkowski nursing injuries ....MAINLY.....they have a nasty habit of losing games such as this..... '08 lost at New Mexico 36-28 ....-10 '07 lost to lobos at home 29-27.....-10 .....beat N arizona by 21 '06 beat STEPHEN F AUSTIN by 18 '05 lost at Utah 27-24.....were +7.......beat N Arizona by 19 '04 beat N Ariz by 18
* in 5 years they have shown up once or twice in this type of game....LY (with 4 year st at QB).....beat idaho 70-0 and toledo 41-16
check out latest scrimmage.......

The impediment to action advances action - what stands in the way becomes the way.

Nice picks, though most are what everyone in here are going for. Had you acted a day earlier, you coiuld have given 6.5 instead of 7 with Minny. We delayed until Syracuse lost another player to pull the trigger. Our concern was that Minny opened up their new on campous stadium next week, and their heads may not be in the game, but Syracuse is so bad now, that 6.5 was giving them way too little. Our projections jumped from 9.5 to 14. 7 should be a nice safe number, but we are glad to get the 6.5.

Am definitely concerned about the Cinci pick. Cinci has only 1 returning starter on defense and is switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4 alignment. Add to that the fact that Rutgers has a dominant O-Line and I expect an easy Rutgers cover.

I hate betting on road favorites that have to fly across the country. These are usually horrible bets. Having said that, I can't see LSU NOT beating Washington by more than 17. That game is a huge talent mis-match!!!
