going to look at this columbia at cornell game that everyone is betting , seems like both sides are getting action which makes it something i want to look at , line is Cornell -2.5 171.5 well 1st off the total looks right as both teams can score and both teams can get scored on, one little note is that Columbia as a dog are 0-2 both games have went under the total, columbia is 7-5 over Cornell 8-3 Over....cornell is a better over play when away or as a dog 7-2 over away, 5-1 over as a dog...Columbia is 7-3 over as a favorite, and 4-1 over as an away favorite,....cornell is 0-2 ats at home, and 0-2 as a home favorite, they are 3-0 ats as an away favorite, both teams win at home and columbia is 0-2 str up as a dog and as an away dog, no really good trends for either team as this is columbia at cornell,
columbia avg's 78 pts a game and gives up just 70....Cornell avg's 88 a game but they also give up 88 pts a game...they both shoot 48% columbia shoots the 3 at 38% cornell at 40%, columbia shoots the 2 at 54% cornell 57%, columbia is avg 59 shots a game making 28 and 8.8 3's avg 17 ft's making 12 cornell averages 62.6 shots a game and makes 30 with 13 3's they avg 20 ft's making 14 ...1st half columbia is avg 35.8 pts and cornell 42 pts blocks are even, steals are even, fouls columbia commits 17 a game and cornell 22
now home and away home cornell is avg 90 pts a game giving up 83 columbia away is avg 77 a game and gives up 74...big advantage on assist to cornell, at home they avg 20 assist and columbia away is avg 14, now home and away shooting are pretty even slight advantage to cornell on 3's 40% to 36% columbia slight advantage on 2 pt shooting 55% to 52% over all 48% to 46.8% so pretty even most things are pretty even
now i would give a slight advantage in this meeting to Cornell, only because Cornell has been on a long road trip , their last true home game vs a d-1 team was Nov 26th 40 days ago, and yes they scored 97 vs Michigan st away but gave up 114 ...personally i think Cornell finally being at home, with a crowd that will be there for them should give them an advantage in this meeting , both teams are coming off of what i call practice games where they play d-2 or d-3 schools, and columbia did lose at stonybrook a few games ago my opinion is that Cornell should win this game
Columbia has like 6 of their major players back from last year, the guys who avg the most minutes played this year were there last year so pretty much same team like their top 6 are back ..
Now Cornell is a team like i have not seen yet, they have their top players that avg 10+ minutes a game and there are 12 of them 11 of them were on cornell last year only 1 player Kaspar Sepp 18 mins 6 pts 6 reb's is a player they got from Valparaiso this whole team is from last year almost now they did lose some seniors from last year but it seems like they have a good nucleus of players back but of the games played last year cornell did lose more of their high scorers than clumbia did , so that could factor in this game now in the 1st meeting last year the main scorers for Cornell where they won 94-83 those scorers are all back this year HMMMM thats a good team when you have 3 diff high scorers from both meetings
id have to still give an edge to cornell here most players back and they seem to be doing alright and now at home they may be fired up for this with confidence to go with it
mistake a made yesterday in breaking down the Lemoyne mercyhurst game Mercyhurst had their main players back and they beat up on lemoyne too
anuone got something to add please do ...lol think i went thru everything
