Miami -2 (-115) over FSU Full Game: 2300 to win 2000 First Half: Miami -1.5 (-105) 1050 to win 1000
The Hurricanes have been unbeatable in December and January winning 10 of their 11 games with wins over quality programs like - North Carolina, Duke, Clemson, Syracuse, Wake and NC State.
Some of these victories have been very impressive at home over North Carolina by 28 points and on the road over #5 Ranked Duke by 2 points. Winning 10 of their last 11 games against this level of competition is very impressive, but guess who the only loss was to 12 days ago? Yes, it was a 1 point loss at Florida State 64-65 in a game they played well enough to win.
In this game the difference was Florida State making 6 more FT's and pushing Miami around inside the paint. I look for Miami to be much more aggressive and get the better side of the calls by the referees in this 2nd match-up on their home court.
While FSU has certainly been the "big brother" in this match-up for a number of years. I think the tide is starting to turn and there are some very nice trends that favor Miami in this rematch.
-First and foremost, it is a big REVENGE game versus an instate rival
-FSU is 1-8 ATS in their last 9 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.
-FSU is 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a winning home record
-FSU is 1-8 ATS in their last 9 road games.
-FSU is 2-8-1 ATS in their last 11 Saturday games.
-FSU is 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
-Miami is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.
-Miami is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
-Miami is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
If not for the 1 point loss at Florida State 11 days ago, Miami would be a perfect 11-0 over the past 2 months and I think tomorrow in a revenge rematch the Hurricane hits hard and gets the win by 4-6 points and they get rid of the bad taste of that 1 point loss less than two weeks ago.
BOL!!!!
