Using MLS bias to justify your own MLS bias - only on covers!
You hate it so much you can't even watch it but you feel the need to criticize it anyway...why? Everyone in the world of soccer knows that MLS is not on the level of the top leagues in the world...but the fact that you are here trying to make this point by quoting an MLS critic only proves that its a closer contest than most people think

Sure didn't slow down Drew Brees and the fast paced, turf oriented Saints offense - they scored 41 on 571 total yards of offense there a few weeks ago...

After this regular season, Hendricks has always been the true ace in my eyes. True aces ALWAYS pitch game 1 when they are fully rested, regardless of experience...and by the way, having experience is part of what makes an ace a 'true ace'

This is a good point, every arm is available today...that said, it works both ways: do you want to fall behind the Indians when they have a fresh Miller and Allen ready to go 5 innings at least?? For that reason, the starters matter and scoring the first run is key to controlling the pressure...being down 1 run in game 7 can feel like being down 10

People love to point at this line as a positive sign for the Cubs (books putting Kluber at home at plus money and begging for action, right??!!)
OR, they know they are going to get 60%+ action on the cubs anyway so may as well tack on a little surcharge... Let's say they have 600 bets on cubs at -140 to win 100 bucks and 400 on the tribe at +120 to win 100 (very hypothetical, i know). They would have $84000 in cubs bets and approx $34,000 in tribe money for a total handle of 118,000. If cubs win they have to pay the 84k back and they keep the 34k for a net loss of 50k. If the Indians win they pay out 40k and pocket 78 grand. Who do you think the books are rooting for in this scenario? If they expect a Cubs win, wouldn't setting the line like this be foolish? Books are always a step ahead...How many people thought they were being sharp getting the Bills plus 5.5 points this past weekend?

Hendricks was in trouble in every inning and wriggled off the hook in game 3, we will see what he is made of tonight...so much is said about his calm demeanor under pressure, to me he looks a little like a deer in the headlights ala eli manning...he likes to paint the corners with his 90 mph 'heater' - if hes painting and getting the calls, he's tough - if you can make him come in off the corners, hes quite hittable...if Cubs have all of their arms available, Hendricks is the third choice here, which may help answer the OP's question...we find out in 9 hours

Covers is known in the industry as a forum full of squares and rookies and, to be honest, it was only the dedicated work of the regulars here that turned it into a respectable place. A quick look at the other forums here shows that the soccer forum is by far the most 'professional'. But all good things must come to an end...
I suggest moving to a forum with active moderators and a more businesslike approach. Therxforum is great for other sports but the soccer forum is quite slow, with only a couple regular posters. This crew could easily slide in there and be welcomed with open arms. Good luck with whatever path you choose...

This might be oranges and apples to some of you but I find it to be a sort of a forshadowing. Also, I believe in Symmetry. All 3 dogs won outright, leads me to believe favs tonight. I should of stopped with the totals insight, thats more helpful, the rest is just my personal problems I have to deal with as a nuerotic sports handicapper. Hope you don't mind being clarified yourself. The last time they played @ BYU it was a 6-3 final, well under 50 wouldn't ya say?
