Frankie Edgar vs Pedro Munhoz
Edgar is a UFC legend with a career record of 23-8-1, but at 38 years of age, he is listed as a +225 underdog in his bantamweight debut after eight years in the featherweight division. Edgar has lost three of his last four fights, including a first-round TKO loss against the "Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung in his previous bout last December.
MMA odds have Pedro "The Young Punisher" Munhoz installed as a -275 favorite. He's coming off a unanimous decision loss to the No. 2 bantamweight contender Aljamain Sterling last year. Prior to that, he had won seven of his previous eight fights, including a first-round knockout victory over the No. 3 bantamweight Cody Garbrandt last March.
Ovince Saint Preux vs Alonzo Menifield
The co-main event for Saturday was originally supposed to be between Yoel Romero and Uriah Hall but after Romero pulled out, the UFC elevated Saint Preux vs Shamil Gamzatov to co-main event status. Then Gamzatov was removed from the card with Menifield replacing him.
Despite taking the fight on short notice, Menifield has been installed as a -138 favorite against the more experienced Saint Preux, who is listed at +110. Menifield is coming off the first loss of his MMA career, dropping his career record to 9-1. He is an explosive athlete with knockout power and eight of his nine victories have been by KO or TKO.
Saint Preux has a record of 24-14 and is fresh off a split-decision loss to Ben Rothwell at his heavyweight debut in May. He has now lost four of his last six fights and returns to the light heavyweight division to face Menifield.
