Baseball lovers rejoice — College Baseball has arrived to fill the void in the sports scheduling calendar, and there are some tremendous matchups in Week 3.

One of those goes down tonight with a Top-10 matchup in the 26th annual Bruce Bolt College Classic between No. 3 Texas and No. 9 Coastal Carolina.

See why I'm bullish on the Longhorns with my Texas vs. Coastal Carolina predictions and free betting picks for Friday, February 27.

Texas vs Coastal Carolina prediction

My Texas vs Coastal Carolina best bet: Texas -2.5 (-110 at DraftKings)

Coastal Carolina is earning plenty of respect for last year's National Championship runner-up finish, but this year's squad has looked far from a top-10 team.

Their two best pitchers are injured, and the offense has struggled to produce (.260 BA, .402 SLG), a sharp contrast to Texas's powerful lineup (.340 BA, .573 SLG).

Texas has roared to an 8-0 start, leading the nation in ERA (1.36) while averaging 8.8 runs per game. Friday presents their first opportunity to prove themselves against a ranked opponent, and this talented squad is ready to capitalize.
