don't use the term lock...you lose cred immediately when you say that...just make your picks and support them with rational prose...if you are consistently accurate, you will build cred...

Steele is the best by far...but, you have to keep his power ratings and predictions in context.   Like everyone else, he has bias (ie Oklahoma, Florida State and USC) that he generally overrates each year.    He does provide a lot of objective and contextual information.   If you are a good capper, you know what I am talking about.   If you rely on Steele per se for your picks, then you should find a new "game" to play...

I also like La Tech -13 (estimate) over @S. Alabama and Navy -17 (estimate) over @Hawaii in week 1?   Have you given any thoughts to those matchups?

the one and only is Phil Steele...not so much for his perspectives, but more for good information...

Wise - do you think this will bring in more local action junkie degenerates, who will drive up the price of faves even more than it normally it is.   Undervalued faves are my traditional sweet spot, but if all these idiots come into the market and back faves, I may have to switch my priorities to dogs...

Excellent points Wise.  I think it will take a year or two to get this rolled out with the exception of maybe dirty a$$ed New Jersey.   I am no Holy Roller (a cafeteria roman catholic), but honestly, I don't want legal dope (weed) in Texas, I really don't want legal sports wagering in Texas, and I don't want legal prostitution in Texas, but with the precipitous decline in our societies moral compass (with our morally bankrupt leader), we may be able to procure all three products/services at our "neighborhood 7-Eleven” by the end of this decade...and that won’t be a good thing for our society…

I am with Heritage.   I grandfathered in from The Greek.   I don't think they even took US customers until recently.   I think they will be fine since they have a global reach.   The others not so much.   You make a good point.   I have no exposure with the others.   GL to you.

It came down today, May 14, 2018...Will it be the end of the Vegas Superbooks, locals, and maybe even offshores...Not all states will allow it, even if they can, but the traditional bet takers will take a temporary hit...the smart books will find a way to exploit it...

Your thoughts...

I have heard that they are very young, yet talented...I think they will experience some growing pains as they ramp up the learning curve.  but, I think GP is the right coach for the job, and by November, they will be a good team...

I agree on Michigan...I like them in week 3 at home against rebuilding SMU -24 (estimate)...I think it will be a beat down 45 to 10...

Be careful of high priced faves in week 1.

agreed! and you know I have a rep for backing those HP faves in week 1...will look to take my capping to the next level and not be a chump...I find week 1 to be a huge challenge every year...

Wise - can you remind me of what your early early season rule of thumb is on teams with new coaches, new OC's and new QBs?   You told me this several years ago.   Will you not touch them in September?    Thank you in advance.
