@holtnt The spread is actually right on the money. Could be anywhere from -6.5 to -7, (I calculated it at -6.85 to be exact)tbh. There is nothing fishy about this spread in the least, unfortunately. |

Also, to add to that, the spread is kinda right on. It should project to be Dubs -5, but that's before you factor in the Bucks being at home (3 pts.). Then when you factor in Green and Iggy being absent from tonight's matchup, couple that with the fact that this is the most lopsided bet in Vegas with the public taking the Dubs in the high 80% (85% public on GSW as of right now) yet the line hasn't moved all day (wise guys got to be betting HUGE for that to happen) AND the books are BEGGING you to take GSW (Bovada has the juice at -105 GSW, -115 (!!) MIL), you got ALLLLL the makings of a classic upset. You've been warned.

TAKE BOSTON 5 IS A GIFT Actually, BK is a +1 before the home court advantage. With it they should be a -2. But the reason it's at -5 -a whole 3 pts. more- is because of key injuries. No Thomas or Smart. And of course no Sully. That right there should account for the extra 3 points, so it's fair. You gotta make sure when figuring out the spread that you account for key players missing. That being said, I can still see the C's taking this, but there's not enough value for myself personally to take this game. I'm out. Good luck.

Both teams have 17 wins and the tank is real with both. The winner of this particular game is really the "loser". Sixers management is blood thirsty for the top pick and the Lakers need to suck enough to keep their pick from going outside the 5 spot and conveying it to the Celtics.
This is a real gamble, I'm staying the F away from this game. Anything can happen. If this was a legit game I'd take the Sixers. Lakers should be favorited by that to no one, even the Sixers lol! Sixers are the better team IMO and I'm a Laker fan saying this.

If you figure the spread out on your own, you'll find that the raw spread should be -0.45, so basically a pick em. BUT that's the raw #, not factoring in the customary additional 3 points oddsmakers give to the home team. So technically, it should be Spurs -3/-3.5 Now the question we need to ask ourselves is why did they not give the home 3? I'm pretty sure squares -casual bettors- would think Cavs all day long, especially as a PK, so they may really try to lure them in when they know the Spurs should take this by a triple. Other factors to consider: Spurs have won the L10 S/U against the Cavs and have gone 8-2 ATS H2H. All good things got to come to an end maybe? Do the Spurs sweep the series against the Cavs? Spurs have been on a roll lately, winning 6 in a row S/U (albeit over some cupcake teams and teams that have struggled bad lately) after dropping 4 in a row to some teams that actually mean business. So...is the streak a sham? Will they finally lose now that they are actually playing some good competition in LBJ and the Cavs? Or has SA finally turned a corner now that the Playoffs are getting closer, with teams like OKC and NO trying to both make it in and bump someone (SA &/or DAL) out. Myself personally, I am on the fence as of right now. I'm going to have to wait a while to see if I get any other indicators before I make my decision. What I can tell you know....this is gonna be one HELLUVA game! Good luck.

WHY IN THE FLYING FCUK DOES COVERS KEEP F*****G WITH ME WHEN IM TRYING TO PUT IN MY PICKS FOR THE NBA CONTESTS!?!
I'm getting so sick of this $h!7 man! I've been on fire lately (15-3 L3 days) and either the web page will never load or you just can't put in the picks al together! It's pissing me off to no end, especially since I'm trying to get my winning percentage and RSI back up after having a jacked up last 2 weeks. OHHH but no, everything had to work just fine when I was having that rare losing streak! UGGGH. Am I the only one that this is happening to? MIA -11

Now...time for me to beat your record! Lol

It's a lot of hard work and dedication ...(accidentally hit the submit button)...like I was saying, you got to put in work to get the results. I haven't been putting my picks here on Covers for too long, and a lot of picks I make are usually inside of 15 minutes before the games start (as we know you can't put picks in on covers during "pre-game" but if you click on my user name you can see a small sample size of what I do. Covers gots me somewhere around 60-61% hit rate. Since I've been finally recording myself I'm 331-223-27 in NBA (started recording Feb. 2nd 2014) good for 59.74% and for the 2014-15 NBA season so far I'm 152-99-13 60.55% and 12-4-1 NFL this season (I really just stick to NBA action). All those #s are pretty consistent with the smaller sample size that's recorded for everyone to see on here in my profile. Point is is that it's not a coin flip and I put in hours every day/night to get this good and I'm just getting better as I learn more and adjust my system. I mean, coin flips are 50-50, I'm over 100 picks above the typical .500 +/- that even some of the best on these leader boards are. I'd say that's much more then a coin flip.

What's Tuppy done since his epic run, bet he hasn't even qualified for a hat. Heck, I have 1,200+ picks and haven't gotten a hat. GSW under double digits, at home and following a rare ATS loss against the Chicago Bulls*!t? This is too easy.

Hell yeah bookies lose money, last year I shut one down. I didn't use him personally but the guy that was that I was sending my picks to never got a couple thousand because the bookie stopped paying and returning phone calls/text.
At first he would always get paid on time and in full, then as the season went on and I kept slaying as I usually do, the money started taking longer to come back. Then he started putting a spending limit on him and a max pick limit ($500 dollar limit/ no more then 8 bets). Finally he just cleaned him out we're guessing cause he got mad and never gave him the rest of his money LOL! So far I'm 16-1-1 this NBA season. I'm good to shut another one of them down again!
