Appalachian State 35, Louisiana-Lafayette 16:
Marcus Cox rushed for 151 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Mountaineers rolled past the host Ragin' Cajuns in Sun Belt action.

Taylor Lamb threw for 195 yards and a score while Terrence Upshaw notched 54 yards rushing and a touchdown for Appalachian State (6-5, 5-2 Sun Belt). Montez McGuire hauled in a 40-yard TD pass and Bobo Beathard ran back a punt 33 yards for a score.

Hunter Stover made three field goals and Elijah McGuire had a rushing touchdown for Louisiana-Lafayette (7-4, 6-1), which had its six-game win streak snapped.
The Ragin' Cajuns went 3-of-15 on third-down conversions.

Louisiana-Lafayette closed the gap on an early 14-3 deficit behind McGuire's 8-yard TD run and Stover kicked a 26-yard field goal to pull the Ragin' Cajuns within 14-13 before the break. Lamb hooked up with McGuire for a long TD pass in the third quarter, but Appalachian State's lead was cut to five when Stover sailed through a 33-yard field goal.

The Mountaineers drained 6:03 off the clock in the final stanza on a 13-play, 76-yard drive that was capped off by Cox's 2-yard scoring run, and Upshaw concluded the scoring with a 36-yard burst into the end zone. The Ragin' Cajuns came up empty-handed on a pair of fourth-down attempts in the final stanza and could get no more than 17 yards on their final three drives of the game.
