UTSA 12, Southern Miss 10: Sean Ianno matched a career high with four field goals, including a 38-yarder with two seconds left, to lift the host Roadrunners over the Golden Eagles in a matchup of two of the lowest-scoring teams in the country.

UTSA (3-7, 2-4 Conference USA) drove 60 yards to set up Ianno after Nick Mullens' 22-yard touchdown pass to Markese Triplett gave Southern Miss a 10-9 lead with 7:35 remaining. UTSA, which snapped a three-game losing streak, entered the game as the fifth-lowest scoring team in the nation at 15.9 points per contest.

David Glasco II rushed for 108 yards while Austin Robinson was 27-of-44 for 175 yards for the Roadrunners. Mullens finished 21-of-34 for 257 yards while Michael Thomas caught five passes for 80 yards for the Golden Eagles (3-8, 1-6), who lost their fourth in a row after entering as the 13th-lowest scoring team at 19.4.

UTSA enjoyed a 19:47-10:13 time of possession advantage and forced two turnovers in the first half, but led only 6-0 on field goals of 41 and 28 yards by Ianno. The Roadrunners extended their advantage to 9-0 on Ianno's 35-yard field goal after Glasco's 70-yard run put UTSA at the Southern Miss 21.

Mullens' 44-yard pass to Thomas highlighted a 68-yard drive, which was capped by Corey Acosta's 36-yard field goal with 14:42 remaining to make it 9-3. Mullens was 4-of-5 for 87 yards on the touchdown drive - including a 40-yard pass to Marquise Ricard and the scoring toss over the middle to Triplett.
