No. 6 Mississippi State 38, No. 2 Auburn 23: Dak Prescott rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns and threw a touchdown pass as the host Bulldogs got off to a quick start and held on for their third straight win over a top-10 team.

Josh Robinson rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns for Mississippi State (6-0, 3-0 SEC), which had lost five of the previous six meetings and 11 of 13 against the Tigers. Prescott finished 18-of-34 for 246 yards and overcame two first-half interceptions.

Nick Marshall went 17-of-35 for 209 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions and added 100 yards on 17 carries for Auburn (5-1, 2-1), which had a nine-game SEC winning streak snapped. D'haquille Williams caught six passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns for the Tigers.

The Bulldogs forced turnovers on Auburn's first two series and converted both for touchdowns as Prescott hit De'Runnya Wilson for a 34-yard TD three plays after a Marshall interception and Robinson punched in a 1-yard TD four plays after a Williams fumble. Prescott added a 2-yard TD run to make it 21-0 before the Tigers came roaring back with a pair of field goals and Marshall's 9-yard TD pass to Williams to pull within 21-13.

Prescott's 15-yard scoring run gave Mississippi State a 28-13 halftime lead, but Marshall and Williams hooked up for a 15-yard TD with 6:09 left in the third to cap a 99-yard drive and make it a one-possession game. After Evan Sobiesk's 21-yard field goal, the Tigers fumbled the ensuing kickoff and Robinson scored from the 1-yard line to make it 38-20 with 11:07 left, and Justin Cox picked off a Marshall pass with 2:44 remaining to seal it.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Prescott has accounted for 53 career touchdowns (28 passing, 25 rushing), surpassing Don Smith (52 from 1983-86) for the school mark. … The announced crowd of 62,945 was the largest in Davis Wade Stadium history. … Auburn's 99-yard drive was only the fourth of that length in program history and the first since 2004 versus Mississippi.
