First thing I would like to point out is that even though I have been a professional Sports Handicapper for many years I am an alumni of the U.of S.C and a Fan so my analysis of any game involving the Gamecocks(or anyone else’s analysis of their Alma Mata or a huge fan of any team for that matter) should be viewed as convoluted.
OK now that I got all that crap out of the way lets give this play a shot and Ill try to do my best objectively.
Well……that is about as far as I can go OBJECTIVELY
Here is the deal. Kentucky has a stud QB but they don’t have the defense to rank them in the top 10 and S.C doesn’t have the Defense or Offense to rank them as high as they are right now so lets just forget all that ranking and TV bulls**t hype to get viewers to watch this TV games and deal with the facts.
S.C did hold Kentucky’s Woodson to 18 of 31 289 AT Kentucky and 1 touchdown and their team to under a 100 yrds rushing at ken. last year.I think Woodson will do a lot better this year in passing and Ken. Rushing should do better in this event because SC doesn’t have the Defense to stop the run or the pass they had when they faced Ken. Last year. Wait Buddy S.C has the Number 1 rated pass defense? Well buckwheat that is because the teams they have faced didn’t have a stud passing QB and that includes LSU Matt Flynn but hell LSU whole team is as big as most NFL teams and doesn’t need a stud QB and speaking of Stud QBs if you look at Woodsons 16 TDs-1 interception and realize he threw 5 against Fla.Ftlantic,3 against E.Ken,2 against Kent St, well those 10 passing TDs don’t impress me at all. They may look good on paper and make a good bulls**t rap for a TV announcer to help hype up the rating but I personally just discount those numbers as irrelevant for the contest at hand and to only be used by TV commentators, Bankers and hair doers and generally by folks that just don’t know s**t from Shine Ole on how to handicap an ATS College Football event..
Anyway what I’m getting at is both teams have suspect defenses so both teams OFF. will put some scores up in this one I believe. |

Now the MAN has hung a 57.5 O/U as I write this and that works out to 8 touches and a field goal and you math wizens will see that is 2 touches a piece a half with a field goal thrown in or both teams need to score a TD each in each quarter and to top that off there looks like there will be a lot rain in this action (?) so you O/U guys check the weather for Thursday night.
You guys that have followed my bulls**t in the past know I don’t like to see a team that is swapping QBs as that throws a red flag up for a handicapper but Spurrier has a always coached like that for any team he has run and make no mistake he RUNS the offense calling ALL the Offensive plays on the field from the sidelines and that is a f**king nightmare for opposing offensive Coordinators to have to butt heads with a Head Coach that calls the plays like he does and the reason for that my friends is he makes the s**t up on the fly as the game progresses like you would do in a backyard sand lot pick up game so it is pure hell for Def.Coaches to prepare a teams Def. Schemes against this unpredictable SOB and that is just a fact there.
Anyway this piece isn’t really going anywhere so lets cut all this bulls**t out and Ill go straight to the way I see this action.
TV game, probably playing in the rain,Stud QB for Ken.,both Defenses look weak,QB for SC is in realty Spurrier, the real number on this game should be Ken-3,the idiot writing this is a f**king U of SC alumni,Ken.hung 40 on Ark and Louisville but also gave up 30 to each,SC has faced Woodson twice in the last two years and beat Ken both times home and away with their 3rd string QB,so…..
Hell guys what did you expect me to say? Looks like a 3 point high scoring game to me and before the rain factor I was going to get on the Over like a Fat Lady on a marble but I will reserve that Over action to later this afternoon when the weather is more predictable.
SC-3.5 I got under the Number and made it -2.5.
OVER ? To be determined this afternoon.
That’s the best I can do on this one.

#6 Posted: 10/4/2007 9:36:37 AM Great write-up. I agree, SC is the play. But I am wondering about the O/U........ will the rain slow the offenses more (more running attempts), or will it hurt the defenses more (keeping up with receivers by trying to react with bad footing)? |

I can only tell you I will be on SC tonight and as an alumni it would be hard for me to bet Kentucky so my opinion in this one is probably a little biased here.
Clev hasn't beaten NY this year 0-7 but this may be their best chance with fat boy on the hill as they ha vent faced him he and he looks to give them a shot at a W but I damn sure am not betting against the evil empire.
That under 8.5-9 in the Cubs-Ariz is probably the best action in that one or on the board today in baseball in my opinion.
Now who is the chick in your Avatar?I couldn't resist. GL on your plays

Ya'll sure put a whupping on us in the 2nd half of the Liberty Bowl. I sat next to the hottest USC grad at the game. She made the lost at lot easier to swallow. |

The QB for Houston in that game was Kevin Kolb who in my opinion is the best QB taken in the NFL draft as a steal and was taken by Philly and once they work him into the system will be be Philly's SUPER STUD QB for many years to come.
The reason I'm bringing all that up is Kolb was a stud QB of the highest order but with a poor defense by Houston so SC beat em 44-36 so having a stud QB against SC and a poor defense is pretty much the way I see this game tonight with Kentucky.Depending on the weather it looks like a high scoring affair tonight but I will check on the weather this afternoon?GL on your plays

#25 Posted: 10/4/2007 1:06:53 PM Spurrier may call the plays but he doesn't execute them. There have been multiple plays this year where he drew it up perfectly, had an open guy but the QB couldn't make the throw. Hope that doesn't happen tonight (as much). Still on the cocks.
