It's interesting you say, "You sure know how to work the system", when aren't RESORT FEES the system working you?  Aren't 2 drinking fountains on the whole strip the system working you?  Aren't Bellagio employees telling water vendors they've called the cops the system working you?

I'm so glad you are defending the system.  Sombody has to pay for a faild City Center.

How do you not know that a $.45 tip is going to be looked at as an insult? Then to chase her down shows how insecure about the tip you really were. Says alot more about you than her. I would have commented to others about it too if I were her. You stand out as much as the guy tipping black chips. But for the wrong reasons. You're intentionally being rude.

The advice said earlier is best, next time tell her you're having a bad day/week/year and that you'll get her next time. You're a local so you'll be back at some point when you're doing better right? If so, don't go back there when she is working. People have a tendency to do nasty things to people they don't like. Just like you did.

You are right, in retrospect, just because she tried to embarrass me, I shouldn't have done the same to her.  I sincerely agree with you on that point (two wrongs don't make a right).  But the good thing is that she admitted her mistake and I just admitted mine.

Not bragging at all, Just pointing out the fact that You are a complete douchebag and Im not.

You still havent admitted what you did to this girl infront of so many people was wrong and vindictive.

You still havent admitted the reason she apologized was to save her job, not because she felt you were right.

truth be told, I own a sportsbar and restaurant, and Iv had plenty of customers that are filthy cheap person and I tell my girls that someone else will make up for it, Give them good service but dont let him waste your time by trying to chat with you.
But if you or anyone tried to tip 45 cents, then Id have no choice but to jump in and say, WHAT THE darn ARE YOU THINKING? Your better off being known as the douchebag you are and not tip anything.

You still dont get where you fucked up, Do you think she got off work that night and told her family and friends how she wronged you?
Or do you think she got off work and told her friends and family what a douchebag you were?

ad160, my income is not as good as the other guys that brag about their big tips.  I'm sorry you feel that way, but every tip should appreciated.  If I had a big day, the tips get bigger.

It's also kind of odd that I have acted in a respectful manner, and you act the way you do?

Sorry bud, you don't deserve to be tipped!

Yeah buddy, tips are appreciated. You are right about that...but to tip anything less than 15% should mean that you had an awful experience and the service was truly awful. Also, you are not acting in a respectful manner if you received good quality service and tipped less than 15%...you are just showing you DO NOT respect those that wait on and serve you. It's that simple man. I deal with people like you everyday man...it's okay, people come along and make up for your short comings. It sounds like you can't really afford to tip to be honest. If you have a bad day you tip less? Maybe you should just wager what you can afford man. Keep in mind that those that you are tipping and those that are waiting on you make a living doing what they are doing...remember, many of them have families, have bills to pay (just like you), they aren't slaves at your disposal. Remember they are your SERVER NOT YOUR SERVANT. Come on dude, get real with this....also, you say I don't deserve to be tipped? Lmao...wtf are you talking about? No offense but you went to Vegas with your savings and thought you were going to prosper by playing SLOT MACHINES? Lol I may be a server at the moment but I do have a bachelors degree from a university...I'm not a retard buddy. It's okay, people like you are a dime a dozen. I just love how you are saying that you "are trying to be respectful" HAHAHAHAHAHA.....you might as well spit in your servers face if you are tipping garbage like 45 cents, GTFO of here with that garbage man. I truly am not trying to be a douchebag but think about what you are saying. What can you get in Vegas for 45 cents? 45 pulls at the penny slots playing the minimum? You should really rethink your approach brother. Also, I don't think that Mafioso is bragging about how much he tips or what not but he works in the restaurant industry and he knows what it is like for people like me and truth be told, people that work in the restaurant industry almost ALWAYS tips excessively because they can relate to us lowly servers which you obviously think we are. It's like a fraternity. But like I said, tip me 15% and I'll be grateful. Tip me 20%, and I appreciate the fact you recognized I did a great job. Tip me more than that then cheers to you. But tip me 10% or less and your experience, well, then wake up and get real. BOL buddy.

None of you got the gist of what I said.  I was in a situation where I only had 45 cents in my pocket.  Usually I tip a dollar for a beer.  But I didn't have a dollar in my pocket.  I didn't want the waitress to wait while I cashed out, went to a machine and got the cash.

But not ONE of you acknowleged this point.  I had two options:  tip her the 45 cents or not tip at all and get her double next time.  I put myself in her shoes and i would rather get the 45 cents.  Next time around, I might be gone or I might have forgotten.

I did nothing wrong.  And all your blabber didn't solve the problem either.

Maybe you should get a friggin job and stay out of the casino. If this many people your wrong and your still arguing that says something about yourself. Your too stubborn for your own good. Time to wake up man. Sounds like your spinning in a downward direction and fast. Trust in god brother and take a break from the casino. You can't make a living in casinos without a proper bankroll. It's pretty simple. Obviously it's many of our dreams to do that. But I'm way smarter than not having a job to hope I make it. Until I have 100k in the bank I would never even consider trying to make a living gambling. Honestly man it just sounds like your not very wise. Not an insult now, because I think you really may have a problem. But take some advice from some of us. Your not in a good situation and the casinos will not help your situation.

I had 2 options.  I stated my case very clearly.  You took the ball and ran off the cliff with it.

I'm beating sportsbetting.  I don't take advice from strangers.  Would you do something if I told you to do so?

But I do enjoy these debates, especially since I've remained civil, much like a Vegas service worker should.  I haven't bragged about how much of a big tipper I am, over and over again.

I AM WINNING.  I'VE TAKEN ALL YOU ON AND NONE OF YOU HAVE ACTUALLY SAID ANYTING RELEVANT.

Remember:  2 options . . .

You said you had two options. You either pay her nothing now and give her double next time or give her $.45 now. You then said you put yourself in her shoes and reasoned that she would rather have the $.45 now vs. the $2 "later". How you came to this arbitrary decision is unknown. Actually these are not equal choices. Or at least for her anyway. By offering those two choices you discounted the value of that dollar way too much and placed too high a value on the $.45 for her. Given the choices, to wait and hope for the $2 is the correct decision for a rational person promoting their own economic interests. This doesn't even take into consideration the social and emotional aspect of that action, for both you and her! I think it is more indicative of you, maybe you need some time off for awhile. When was the last day you didn't go into a casino?

I know this whole scenario is getting too hard for you to handle.  Let me explain it in more simple terms.  When I say "cashed out"  I mean I pressed the "cash out' button on the slot machine.  The slot machine gives me a paper voucher that isn't cash, but it's a ticket that needs to be cashed out at either a "cash out" machine or the cashier.  So by "cashing out", I still didn't have any cash on me, and by the way she treated me, if I did, I still wouldn't have tipped her.

I have stated a couple of times she handled herself professionally after I chewed her out.  Had I stayed there and she came around for drink orders, I would have tipped her the usual dollar or maybe two because of the way she made amends.  I have also admitted my behavior wasn't proper (chewing her out).  If I could do it over, I would have pulled he to the side and had a private conversation with her.  So I admitted I was wrong on that point.

Is there any more questions?

Did you notice that there already seems to be parity in the NFL?  Baseball won't have a 100-game winner because of parity.  Football seems on the same track/

Pro -  good luck with your picks today.

Quickly on the rest of this thread. Obviously just my opinion:

1. Tipping .45 without a quick explanation - no good

2.  Complaining about any tip - no good

3. Chastising service workers in a public setting - no good

4.  All in all you both owed one another a quick apology.

All that being said, hope your time is Vegas is a success.

Unemployed and your out spending $6 + on a beer and tipping $0.45 cents.  Why didn't you just stay home and drink kool aid and none of this would have happen.

YOU KNOW WHAT GUYS, I'M ACTUALLY ENJOYING MAKING YOU LOOK LIKE FOOLS

If you read what I said in the first post "I reached into my pocket AND HAD ONLY 45 CENTS".

If I had stated "I reached into my pocket and tipped her 45 cents", then you could make the case that I was a 45-cent tipper.

But I used the word ~~~~~~~~ONLY~~~~~~~~~meaning this isn't my normal tip.  By saying ~~~~~~~ONLY~~~~~~~I'm admitting that I acknowlege that my tip is short.  By doing this, aren't any of you getting the point that when I sat down to play the slot machine, I didn't take into account that I might order a drink?

"I REACHED INTO MY POCKET AND ONLY HAD 45 CENTS"

I love reaming you guys!
