If they were playing a 'high octane offense' that can move the ball on anyone (for example Okla St), then the tempo of the game is changed, and LSU (who has two mediocre QBs--safe but neither spectacular) might not be able to keep up.

Hard to envision either team reaching 20 points in this one.

Not at all. LSU has no-name role players on offense, and the world will forget all their names after this game. They only need a few good plays, and certainly that is all they need and are looking for. Just enough.

I think a few astute fans are just feeling Alabama is in a better position to do less work and extraxt the most gain. They need to win one out of two games and they're the Champions. LSU meanwhile, had to beat Georgia in the SEC Championship (risking a loss) then have to beat a talented and well coached defensive team from their own league twice. Noone is complaining from LSU, but the entire BCS is mismanaged and manipulated by greedy interests.
