Recap: Baylor 31, Colorado 25

Jay Finley ran for 142 yards and two touchdowns, and the Baylor Bears held on for a 31-25 victory over the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday in the Big 12 Conference.

Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III, who entered fourth in the nation in total yards per game (329), finished 22 of 27 for 236 yards, with a touchdown and an interception. He also ran for 135 yards as the Bears (5-2, 2-1 Big 12) moved to within one win of their first bowl appearance since 1994.

Baylor took a 28-18 lead on Finley’s second touchdown run - a 14-yarder - with 9:54 left in the fourth quarter.

Colorado, which is moving to the Pac-10 next season, pulled to within 28-25 on a 7-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Hansen to Scotty McKnight with 5:14 remaining.

But Aaron Jones’ third field goal of the game, from 38 yards out, made it 31-25 with 2 minutes left.

Rodney Stewart ran for 125 yards and a pair of touchdowns for Colorado (3-3, 0-2). McKnight caught five passes for 39 yards. He has at least one catch in 43 straight games, the longest streak in the nation.
