Recap

Rockies 6, Braves 5 (12):
Yorvit Torrealba delivered an RBI single in the bottom of the 12th inning after Colorado extended the game by handing closer Craig Kimbrel a rare blown save.

Kimbrel hadn't allowed a run in his last 24 appearances before Dexter Fowler hit a double off the left-field wall with two outs in the ninth inning. Fowler drove in Jonathan Herrera and pinch hitter Troy Tulowitzki, who had doubled and singled with one out.

Matt Belisle (1-1) pitched two perfect innings before Wilin Rosario led off the 12th against Luis Ayala (1-1) with a double. After an intentional walk and failed sacrifice attempt by Belisle, Torrealba stroked an 0-1 pitch to left to score Rosario as the Rockies snapped a three-game slide.

Tim Hudson allowed three runs and six hits in six innings and added an RBI single in his second attempt at career victory No. 200 for Atlanta. The Braves had their four-game winning streak at Coors Field snapped and lost for only the second time in the last 11 meetings against the Rockies.

Michael Cuddyer drove Hudson's 1-2 hanging curveball into the left-field seats in the second and four pitches later, Josh Rutledge deposited an 0-2 fastball over the left-field wall. Atlanta went ahead 5-3 in the sixth when shortstop Herrera's throwing error allowed a run to score and Jordan Schafer followed with an RBI single.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The first-pitch temperature was 48 degrees after it was 23 for Tuesday's doubleheader opener, the coldest game in Coors Field history. ... Rockies 1B Todd Helton, who is 12-for-18 against Hudson, missed his fifth straight game because of a strained left forearm. ... Rockies RHP Tyler Chatwood, making his season debut after being called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs, allowed five runs (four earned) and nine hits in six innings, and hit a run-scoring single.
