Tulowitzki had a two-run single in Colorado’s three-run first inning and hit his 10th homer in the fourth inning, a solo shot off Dustin Moseley (1-5) that gave the Rockies a 6-2 lead.

Maybin hit a solo homer in the second inning off Jorge De La Rosa (5-1) and ripped a two-run homer in the seventh to pull the Padres within 9-7.

Colorado scored three runs in the eighth – two unearned – after San Diego left fielder Ryan Ludwick made a three-base error on Spilborghs’ fly ball.
