Denmark Cup: semi finals, single leg
Midtj/Brondby over 3 @+122, Brondby to win @+175 - though its a cup match, and just one game too, normal scenarios call for teams to start off slow & cautious not wanting to make that single mistake. But judging from past H2H'sits hard to see this staying under the total. Since last year, 4 of the 5 H2H's have hit 3+ goals. And with a total of 21 goals in Midj past 5 matches with the fact they are at home should offset Brondbys strong defense.
And for as good as Brondby has been in this league, one of the perennial title contenders, theyve never made it to the Cup final in a long time. lost to their rivals Copen in the semis last year and from what I have read, have been motivated to get to the finals this season. They have zero chance of catching FCK in the league playoffs safely in 2nd, and have won their last 6 straight roadies scoring at least 2 in 5 of them; they scored a 90th minute injury time goal to pull even last round and then went on to win in extra time to get here today. Beaten this team already twice at home this year and a 3-3 draw earlier in the season in a match where they held a 3-1 advantage till two Penalty kicks were awarded in the 86th & 89th minute to settle for the draw.
Switz. Challenge:
Aarau/Zurich over 3 @-115, 1st half over 1.5 @+120 - from a match which was re-scheduled, 6 rounds remaining. 1st place Zurich just rolling along with a 9 pt advantage and soon to clinch promotion and get back into the top division. Theyve been scoring goals for fun lately (15 in past 6); currently 4-2-0 with a 15/9 goals in past 6. and only once in their past 5 away matches have they failed to score less than 2 goals. 5th place Aarau are stuck in mid-table with an 8 pt lead from relegation. But the way theyve been playing lately -- theyre currently in a free-fall -- it doesnt make them safe. They are 0-0-6 with 7/16 goals their past 6 matches. they have conceded 3 goals in each of their past 5. should be another big road win for Zurich with lots of goals as both teams really dont have much incentive to play defense.
Copa Lib:
Strongest/Cristal over 3 @-104 (strong), over 4.5 @+300
Strongest -1.5 @+102 - This is an important game in their Group with just 3 pts separating 1st from last: Santos 5, Santa Fe 4, Strong 4, Cristal 2.
Strongest have one of the best home records of any S. American team in the Copa Lib, by a wide margin. In large part due to the thin air up on that mountaintop in La Paz where opponents tend to fade in the 2nd half, and these Bolivians score in bunches at home. They key though to these plays are that Cristal really cant afford to lose, a draw could still give them a lifeline but that altitude kicks in the 2nd half and its going to be difficult. especially for a team whom is god-awful bad on the road and has only scored once in their 3 group matches. In their last 4 CL roadies theyve ceded 3,4,4,3 goals. Expecting this to be a big home win as the Bolivians pull away in 2nd half
Guarani to win @-101 (strong play), Guarani -1.5 @+262, Zamora/Guarani over 2.5 @-110 - first of all, I hate taking road favorites in Copa, regardless whatever the situation or teams at hand might be. but it's hard to pass this one up. for starters, Guarani MUST win this game to put themselves in position to advance, a win pulls them into a tie for first with their final game at home vs Iquique where they can play for the draw if necessary. Theyve been playing decently and already notched a road win up in Chile back in March beating Iquique 1-0. and the Venezuelans here are possibly the weakest team in the entie competition; 0-0-4 and have ceded 13 goals (which is normal for them). Since 2015 Zamora have played in 10 Copa matches, have lost them all and been outscored 35-8, nuff said. they simply do hot have the skill to compete at this level & have not held anyone under two goals this year. a great opportunity for the Paraguayans here.
