5 and a
half minutes into the game, and there were 10 shots and 5 goals which pretty
much destroyed my entire night. That’s the thing with unloading several units on
one game…if they hit, you make a killing. If they lose, you GET killed.

Penguins/Thrashers Over 5.5, -125: Atlanta’s
last 11 games have averaged 7.2 goals, and their last 4 home games have
averaged 6.8. Pittsburgh’s
last 7 games have averaged 8.1, and their last 3 road games have averaged 9.7.
The over is 5-1 in Hedberg’s last 6 starts.
Blackhawks/Stars Over 5.5, +100: Chicago is
still allowing as many shots on goal as they are getting. In a game that should
see 60+ shots, I’m banking on at least 6 going in the net. The over is 3-1 in
the last 4 meetings, and 5-1-1 in
the last 7 meetings in Dallas.
The over is also 13-3 in Chicago’s
last 16 vs a team with a losing record.
Red Wings/Oilers Over 5.5, -105: This one backfired on me the other day.
Gonna go to the well one more time with it. I think the Oilers gained a little
confidence by scoring 7 goals on 19 shots against Columbus.
Still…their goaltending problems remain. As far as Detroit
goes...Osgood has been shaky all season. But we all know they can score in
bunches too.

Keep your head up Weeble. This has not been a good year for pucks for me overall. I'm 0-6 or so the last 6 games, all totals. I knew I should have stuck with overs today, instead I decide at the last minute to take both the Ranger/Canucks under 1.5 1st period and under 5 game.

ONE Q. how u come u always just do over under? dont u think its easier to pick the winners?
'
I don't only do over/unders. If you look at my record, you'll notice I do MLs and PLs too. As well, there are some MLs/PLs in my parlays.
And no...in this day and age...it's not easier to pick a winner. In any sport, any team can beat any team on any given night. That rule applies to hockey more than any other sport. For example...the Cmb/Edm game the other night. If I was going to be the total, I would've bet the over, thinking that it'd be a 4-2 or 5-2 win for Columbus. Instead, the Oilers won 7-2. The Jackets lost, but the over still hit.

Habs/Senators Under 5.5, -115: Why
buck the trend? Ottawa’s
last 9 games have gone under the total, while Montreal is
on a 3-game under streak themselves. Ottawa
games are averaging 4.8 goals, while Montreal
games are right at the 5.5. The Sens have scored a mere 5 goals in their last 5
games. I like my chances with Auld and Price in net.
Red Wings -1, +112: I’ve learned my lesson about betting Detroit
-1.5 on the road. They’re 8-2 on the road this season. HOWEVER, they’ve covered
the -1.5 only ONCE in those 10 games. If they choose to do it today, then so be
it…I’ll still win. And if they win by 1, I’ll be content with not losing.
