When the Panthers make the short trip to Tampa Bay to take on the Lightning we will be taking advantage of a situation where the two teams involved will be treating the game with very different approaches, and on top of being able to exploit this situation I get to do so at a short price. There may be no hotter team in the NHL right now then the Florida Panthers, and thus I will gladly step in to make a play on them against the lowly Tampa Bay Lightning at the price the odds makers are offering.
Florida comes into this game winners of 8 of their last 10 and find themselves right in the hunt for the 8th and final playoff spot in the East. With 6 games remaining for the Panthers you can guarantee Jacques Martin's team will be focused and give it their all in order to gain the maximum two points and get closer to their goal of making the playoffs.
Contrast Florida's situation with the current situation the Lightning find themselves in. Tampa Bay is currently in a race as well, tied for dead last in the NHL Standings the race to have the most lottery balls in the Steven Stamkos sweeps is up for grabs in this one. Luckily for us, and for the Panthers, this requires Tampa Bay to continue to do what they've done best this year, lose games. For the rest of this season Tampa bay is focused on looking at some up and coming young talent, and also the play of newly acquired goaltender Mike Smith.
With both teams having a different mindset for this one, I will gladly make the play on the much better team, who is hungry for victory at the low price being offered.

VERY good analysis, Chris. hope your correct. I'm wondering whether there will atually be a "race to the bottom" between the Bugs, Kinks, Boozers and Trash.
Kinks actually "shot themselves in the skate" winning their last two BUT, as their management has proved year to year, they AIN'T very SMART. hopefully the Bugs see the advantage, at LEAST for TONIGHT.
I have $40 500-1 Cup future ticket on the Panthers and would obviously LOVE to see then sneak in the back door.
