The Packers have chose to receive all but twice this year while the Steelers have deferred all but twice this year.
The Packers will likely want to get an early lead in this game while the Steelers set the tone with their D...thoughts?
Ditto. I'd love to know as well, b/c it seems like a decent angle provided your info is legit.

Ha, Wikipedia says, you are right, Cardinals did defer.
The Steelers called tails, but it landed on heads, so the Cardinals won the toss. Arizona deferred their choice to the second half, and the Steelers chose to receive, making it the first time in Super Bowl history that the coin toss winner kicked off to start the game. (The NFL had just changed the rule before the start of the season allowing the team that wins the coin toss to defer the choice to the second half, similar to that in college football and Canadian football.) By winning the toss, the Arizona Cardinals were the twelfth consecutive coin toss winner from the NFC, dating back to Super Bowl XXXII.

I actually researched info on nfl.com because I thought it was a no brainer that no matter who won the coin toss, Packers would receive. However, after research, I concluded that if Pitt won the toss, they would elect to receive to set the tone. Good luck.

This is 100% accurate. Meaning the very 1st year it was allowed for the Superbowl coin toss winner to Defer, they chose to defer to the second half.
All those people saying it has only happened ONCE ever in history, well it's 1-1 so far since it has been allowed. I think there is an excellent chance for both teams to defer in this game especially Pittsburgh wanting to put pressure on Rodgers and let their defence get them the ball.

The fact that Pitt got the ball first against the Jets was the difference in the game. I wouldn't be surprised to see Pitt take the ball after it made such a difference in the last game.

I am just trying to weigh my options on my parlay's now...
I stand to win a 6-1 parlay with losing 3...wonder if I should cancel them. If the odds arent at least 75-25 in my favor, I dont want to bother, as Im risking 4 units to win 3...

Aaron Rodgers said this in an interview with Michael Irvin on NFL.com. It was said in a light-hearted manner with a chuckle, so take from it what you will.
