Pick : UNDER 55 ( 15 units )

This game may be what the doctor ordered...
Coming off a tough loss on my POW with Baltimore.
I was correct about the OVER , and Baltimore still managed a DD win
without Steve McNair. Who knows what the dynamics of the game
would have been had it not been for a freak injury to the starting QB of
the Ravens. But a loss by a half point still amounts to a loss.
These things happen , and you have to move on.
Making a contrarian play tonight , as most expect
that this game will be a shootout...
But, the total has climbed into the 55 key number ...as it will be necessary
for these teams to combine for 7 TD's & 2 FG's just to reach the total.
I think that Indi will be much more focused on the defensive front despite the injuries,
and if Cincinnati's recent play on their defensive end is any indication , Indianapolis
won't find it nearly as easy to score on them as they did last time these two teams met.
Let's face it ...this is what the betting public is focusing on ...the 82 combined points, 943 total yards on offense and 10 touchdowns that these 2 teams combined for on 11/20/05.
It should be noted that in the same year, only 38 points were scored between them on 9/2/05.
What I like to focus on is recent play by both teams.
The Colts have been held to 17 points or less in 4 out of the last 5 games .
Cincinnati has allowed only 17 points in the last 3 games.
Indi will try to keep the ball away from Cincinnati's offense while keeping the pressure off Manning.
Cinci will try to do the same as they attempt to sustain long drives with balance in the passing and running attack.
Again, with a more focused defensive effort by the Colts @ home where they are undefeated., and a continued strong play by the Bengal's defense ( made easier by Indi's recent offensive struggles ) we may have a total tonight that is off by more than a touchdown.
My pick is also backed by a strong systems play making this for me my strongest totals play TY, and my MNF game of the year...>>>
