Ok, I believe everyone who actually believes in this raider hype believe the Raiders are building a champion team. People keep saying give them a couple more years and they'll be one of the best. I think raider nation has been patient for a good while now, and are ready to to see their team be one of the top contenders in the league. And when I say top I mean a team that consistently makes the playoffs year in and year out.
Raiders smell blood and not only in their division but in the entire league itself. It's hard for people to believe and think the exact opposite in what they've been thinking.. Which is Oakland will be a winning team again and and with one of the most loyal fan base in the business. This team will continue to make the playoffs with no problem.
Home games 2016 Away games 2016

The Raiders first quarter games (1st four games) are against very weak & unbalanced defenses. And if you didn't know Oaklands O line is sneaky good. Look for a decline in Carr's sacks from 2015 season. His sacks actually took a slight increase from the 2014 season to the 2015 season to 31 sacks from 24 sacks. My take is he was scrambling more while under pressure or had to make decisions between taking a sack of throwing the ball away to the other team. Which I might add Carr likes to protect the ball. From the two years he's been in the league his interception numbers has stayed around the same which is in the low teens. While his yds increasesd and his tds increased with taking less attempts shows he's comfortable in the system he's in and continues to get improve to get better. I don't believe his leap from last year is going to be small.. I think he makes a huge leap and puts the other "Elite" QBs on notice.
Oakland now has a great O line especially with adding Osemele to the squad. Formidable offensive weapons Cooper+Murray+Crabtree plus a few new comers who will give a more dynamic flow. Raiders have tons of big names and not only are they big names a lot of them are playmakers while at 100% healthy. On both sides of the field defenses and offenses have to play a certain way now, because the players they have are that damn good. With that being said.. I see.. Actually I'll say I believe Oakland goes 4-0 in the first qtr of the season. I also believe those four games will be their best games of the season because of the teams they're playing.
Quick predictions:
Week 1 OAK 35 NO 10
Week 2 OAK 30 ATL 13
Week 3 OAK 38 TEN 17
Week 4 OAK 24 BAL 9
Look forward to seeing Raiders in playoffs this year.

I think they most hyped team right now is the Raiders, not saying they don't deserve it but everyone is on them. I was tempted to put a season eg. wins over or something but decided not to. Looking at their season unfortunately their downfall is the amount of travel they will have to do, I think they are top 3 teams that have to travel the most. This unfortunately usually leads to a bad record on the road and teams they should beat and sure they are better than on paper will upset them from time to time.

I'm a Broncos fan and this is the first time in a long long time that I haven't marked down 2 wins for my Broncos against the Raidahs!
And I agree, we are playing the Panthers division, one of the weakest in the NFL! That's why the Panthers were so over rated last year - they played those teams twice!
Joseph was a good pick and will obviously be an upgrade.

The Raiders are very good on every level, Offensively and Defensively, with the addition of a shut down Corner Sean Smith, last year's league leader in INTs Reggie Nelson, and a real spark plug in Bruce Irvin.
On top of that, their one weak link on the line last year, LG, is not only solved, but solved with one of the best there is, Osemele.
These guys are getting no respect, being 1 point dogs against the lowly Saints. They are going to beat them week one, book it.

3 on the road, this is not a realistic outcome. The only home game is vs the worst offensive team of the group and giving up the most points, also not realistic.

Wow what a game. Congrats to the real Oakland Raiders fans. We got one. That's a great way to start the season for any team. Idc how good or bad you are.. Winning a game like that based off what your coach said before it happen is great. They have the " we believe" factor with young great talent on that team not to mention a great coaching staff. People sleep on how smart are our coaches are. Down to rio the oc and special teams coach.
Ok let's come back now.. I don't care if we come out .500 at the end of the season. Are organization is coming together as a whole which is great news for the fan base. I'm not sure how many issues were going on behind the curtain in Oakland. But you could tell it was starting at top, but now everything is clicking.
After seeing that I'm going to at least consider drinking the Raider-ade.
What I got from that game is they can comeback in the 4th Qtr almost like a A.Luck type of way. Also see he's great vs bad defenses and I'm going to say he can probably torch the bottom 12-15 defenses in the league right now. Maybe more maybe less it was only the first game of the season. Now I also saw that crowd noise+ top QB +talent + good coaching staff could torch our defense as well. But I also see that our coaching staff can hang with the best and that says a lot for them as players look at from the outside in as a player to coach sort of way.
Week 2 vs Atlanta Falcons
My previous score prediction was Oak 30 Atl 13
Now that I got to see a little real play action I think the score is going to be a closer. The home team will have a slight advantage, but not much and this game will probably fall around the numbers of Oak 35 Atl 31 type of game... Now no Oakland isn't a great defense.. Yet. But they do have great talent on that defense and in time will be by the stretch of the season. Expect things to actually be clicking this week at home. That's my Week two score prediction but I think Ima gonna hit it pretty hard on the nose this game.

Raiders can go 4-0 to start, and possibly 5-0, Saints was the biggest early challenge on the road against Brees at home and the won a hard fought game... They are 1-0 now, they play atlanta home, titans away, ravens away, then san diego home....as long as they stay heathly its doable, the raiders are better then all 4 of those teams, even on the road, but we will see in 4 weeks where they stand..Good luck!

Cool to see a Raiders thread...last week was the best Raiders game I've seen in 8 years. The Nation is excited for a playoff push and NFL is better off with Raiders in the mix. BOL Raider Nation.

Sorry misclick, but I think they're the definition of a coin flip.. Which makes sense when they become Vegas Raiders.. But I also think Raiders are a team who is still learning to gel together.. More so on defense than offense. But I say by week 7 they're going to start looking like a Playoff caliber team who has the upside of being a real Super-Bowl contender. They're slowly building an identity for themselves, they're a team that scores points and battles for all four quarters. Still in the big picture I look at Oakland as a coin flip until about week 5. Weeks 6 7 8 look at them as top 3 in the league.
Week three
My previous prediction was Oak 38 Ten 17
I still stand by that score. Look for Oakland to play all four quarters. D. Carr is focused. Rio is invested. Offense is talented. #Raidernation

What a let down over 500 yards offense 2 games into the season. Love my raiders but their owner is more concerned about where he is moving to. I watch the Broncos and that is the team to mold a team around. Defense is pathetic, special teams is decent offense is top 5. We aren't making the playoffs without defense. And I am a big raider fan. What a disgrace to the loyal fans at home to let Matt Ryan move the offense up and down the field with ease. When I say 500 yards I meant on the defense side of the game the other team. They don't make any 3 and outs or make them punt. I don't know what to expect in Tennessee. Staying positive though.

I felt the same way brotha, I waited until I cooled down a bit.. You and every other die hard Raider fan has the right to be upset. I know I was.. You're right about how pathetic the stats were on defense but yea staying positive is the right thing the do. On a positive note.. I'd rather them lose a bad game like that now rather than later when it could cost a playoff spot. Even with a performance like Sunday we have a good shot at winning the division. We're the only healthy team in our division, another positive note. If we can stay completely healthy I think we'll be fine.
I'm a bit biased but Raiders schedule is pretty soft. I say the level of difficulty is a C. We really don't have to play vs teams that our a definite loss. Besides Carolina and Denver twice. But besides them all our games are winnable some look like they could be blow outs. Oakland is still a really good team with a few holes. Give them time.
Raiders end season with 5 losses. 11-5. they're not shooting for anything else but a double digit win season.

Tough fought out game. Didn't foresee D.Walker out. I think that definitely played a part in how the game was played. Different time of possessions..different packages.. Etc he's a difference maker. Even though Raiders only scratched the high teens against the Titans. They came home with the Win and defense held up when it mattered most, which is what any coach could ask for...
So I'm going to go ahead and start the debate on week 4. Vs Baltimore Ravens. Raiders travel from Tennessee to Baltimore b2b road games for the Raiders I think Defense ended on a great note against teen titans.. Playing lights out defense in the final three minutes. I see this game being a bit lopsided in Oaklands favor with Time Of Possession. They just cut ties with their former back who was on suspension M.Reece. Look Raiders to run three wide receivers and a 3-4 defense.
Ravens are a team who could sleep on the raiders deep threat ability. And will consistently get beat down the field.
