this game 5 tough. The Lake Show has controlled tempo for most of the
series (obviously not Game 1), and could easily be up 3-1. The biggest
problem the Lakers face is the Mamba himself. Kobe is a great, great
player, but ANYTIME in the last 5 minutes when game is close, the ball is tossed to him and everybody watches. That kind of offense is so simple to defend..in fact, OKC has the easiest time defending the Lakers at the end of games when it should be tough. Kobe is NOT Kobe from 5 years ago - he's much more limited now and usually settles for tough fall away jumpers. Until he allows the offense to run through Bynum, EVERYTIME down the stretch, which is not happening anytime soon, the Lakers become insanely predictable on offense. Mike Brown is a horrid coach, and is clearly scared of Kobe. Let's face it, the NBA is run by superstars, and often times to the detriment of their teams trying to win games. This game could be an absolute blowout by Thunder or a game where Bynum insists on the ball, and gets a little selfish. If they can control tempo again, Lakers keep it close. But if the game is close at all, we all know the Lakers offense for the last 5 minutes. Good luck.

Your dead on...im a longtime die-hard lakers fan. Gasol is not assertive, Bynum gives up on 1/3 plays on offense, just watch him get dominated by lesser 4/5's for position, at times looking downright sloppy dribbling once to establish post. Kobe through bad habit takes it upon himself to create where he cant anymore, or they give him the ball with 4 seconds left on the clock and he is stuck with low percentage shot. The coaching has zero backbone you are right and while I am impressed at times with the general improvements on D, the offense is a trainwreck, the only reason we were even in it game 2 was the HORRIFIC second half performance by the thunder where I think they shot like 20% for a long stretch.
Unfortunately, we are completely mismatched just on style of plays n personnel. Drawing on historical precedence, I see a total meltdown happening today lakers lose by 15 to 20pts. sad to say. Ive seen it happen way too many time this past decade, today, lacking a coach who can adjust and ZERO BENCH

i agree 110% u make great pts As a laker fan i got love for Pau but its time 4 him to go, he has no heart and is 2 soft vs physical athletic young teams. The reason why kobe rarely gives him the ball in the 4th quarter is because when he gets it he doesnt do nothing with it but turn it over or pass it back to kobe likes its a hot cake. This guys is 2 passive and father time has definitely caught up with him, he use to be able to get his shot off in the post with ease, now he takes fadeaway 20 footers and flops around when he goes to the basket. Bynum and gasol have to go because soldiers play hard on both ends of the floor no matter whether they are scoring or not. Bynum is a baby and gasol is soft and the sooner Mitch Kupchak figures that out the sooner the lakers will get another title.
