IND @ WAS
After Yesterday's Dog Day, I take a look at this game.
This game is less about guard play than it is about the bigs. In the two previous meetings the teams are deadlocked in rebounding totals @ 80 a piece. This includes a game where the WIZ led at the half by 20, though squandered the lead en route to a 2 point loss in WAS.
IND is on a back-to-back tonight, but this does not worry me as much as the Nene and Booker listed as questionable for WAS. These two are major reasons for hanging in their on the boards.
In fact, coach Whitman said that Nene "probably" won't play against the Pacers.
The line is 6, which is the lowest spread in the 3rd matchup between these two. WAS covered both times easily, almost winning SU. I will not take the Vegas Bait, my play is on:
IND -6

SA @ BOS
Boston is playing real well right now. They have not felt any ill effects of the injuries to Michael Peitrus and Ray allen. A big reason is Rondo, but also the play of Avery Bradley of late.
I'm not going where you think I am.
Vegas feels real bad because the Celtic blowout of the Heat and San Antonio on a back-to-back have not allowed them to put the line where it should be. I, on the other hand, feel great about my next pick:
SA -1

MEM/DAL
Jason Kidd is out and to an inconsistent Dallas team this does not help.
It pains me to concede the edge in big men to the MAVS, but I must because of that German guy.
In terms of guard play, it is not close now with Jason Kidd out. I expect West to get the start and Beaubois to come in and both to get a lot of Turnovers.
I am as concerned with defense being a let up on a back to back to back for Memphis as I am for Offense. But they force mistakes by these backups leading to some fast break points.
Right now I'd take memphis against anyone +6:
MEM +6

Yeah, my bad. I had DET +5. You can check my old posts if you wanna double check.

CLE/MIL
I have to add this play. I just took a look at the CLE roster to see if there was anything to worry about, and NO! Irving put up 29pts last time out @ home and they still lost by 37.
CLE is also on the 2nd game of a back to back.
MIL is fighting for that last playoff spot.
The line doesn't look amazing; I'd like it a whole lot more around 9.5-10. But I cannot pass up a play against such a depleted team.
My money tonight is on:
MIL -12.5
