Indians bats are hot right now they seem to put up alot of runs, BOL to you though
Thanks, I love my Tribe and no one is happier to see them hit like this than me. They're giving up a ton of runs too and their already below average bullpen is extremely overworked. D-Lowe isn't known for getting deep into games anymore and this underrated Mariner's offense can surprise. They don't hit a ton of homers but their offensive style is perfect against a pitcher who pitches to contact.....On the other side, if you break Cleveland's offense down by what they do against righties and what they do against lefties, it's night and day. People are surprised by the Indian's bats but they're just doing what they do against righties. They're a top-3 offense against righties. Unfortunately, they're bottom-3 (AL) against lefties. Tonight will be quite a different approach with the crafty Vargas out there.
It's baseball and we look for value, not necessarily winners so anything can happen. I guess I either win two units or pay two units to watch my Tribe keep the streak going. Good luck, whichever way you go....

You could say that about the "bad" Scherzer too. Sanchez is the reason this is only one unit. It's not easy taking high variance pitchers like these two guys but high variance situations are a great way to find off prices. I'm backing what I think is a better bullpen with a ton power arms and a team that takes a great approach to hitting a power pitcher like Scherzer.* Only Prince has seen Sanchez before (for more than 5 AB's). I consider how often a team has seen a pitcher to be more important than a team's results against him (which can be very dangerous to weigh heavily into your plays). One thing I will say about Sanchez, it might be better to just check the score after the fact. It's definitely hard to stomach those baserunners he'll give up. Scherzer will too with Knight umpiring. We also have some good conditions for Scherzer to give up 1 or 2 of his patented long-balls.

-In 19 starts last year (5 1/3 IP per start) Sanchez allowed more than 3 runs only 4 times (4,4,5,5) and never took you out of your play, as ugly as it might be. I'm ok if he puts me in a bad spot 21% of his starts because, who knows, Scherzer might stoop to his level...or be waiting there for him.
-In 33 starts last year (6 IP per start) Scherzer allowed more than 3 runs 12 times (7,7,7,6,6,6,5,5,5,4,4,4) and single-handedly ruined your bet 6 times (6+ER allowed). He is a power pitcher who is prone to HR's and there's an ump back there who will make him put the ball over the plate. That's when the ugliness happens. These Royals are young, agressive and love to tee off on these fastballs down the middle ahead in the count.
People in fantasy leagues don't like Sanchez, trust me, I know....he makes it hard. But he can win bets like anyone else. Why not tonight? Another thing to consider is the value of playing against the Tigers. He has the stuff to get anyone out and he's going to walk guys. It doesn't matter if it's the Tigers or the A's. I'd rather it be the Tigers in a way because they affect the price more than they affect the outcome. Sanchez and Scherzer are just those type of high-variance pitchers.
