The old lady in front of me just spent over $350 on mega millions, scratch tickets, the numbers and the other lottery's the state of Massachusetts has to offer so I was wondering what is the most you've seen 1 person spend on lottery tickets---just curious

Don't judge other people. She may be a billionaire, she may have no family, she may be dying of cancer. A lot of other possibilities.
To answer your question... I spent $100 on MegaMillions tickets on the way home from the casino, after I had won $3K on the blackjack table. I cashed $15. Not one of my smartest gambling ventures.

thanks for reminding me......I need to go pick up a ticket soon. I never understood why people buy more then 1 ticket. Your odds are exactly the same whether you spend 1 dollar for 350 dollars.

The fact that you are buying one ticket, more than zero, further drives home my first sentence. I apologize if I offended the retarded crowd with this, not my intention.

i think you guys are doing the math wrong. The odds of are 1 in 175,711,536 hitting the jackpot. You have to match all 6 numbers exactly. So if you bought 350 different tickets your odds would be 350 in 175, 711, 536 which is essentially the same.

you guys are wrong When you buy 350 tickets instead of 1 maybe you have a .0000001 chance instead of a .0000012. It doesn't make a difference is the point.

I know this will confuse you but I'm trying to put this into more illustrative terms.
The difference in odds between buying 1 ticket and 350 tickets in Mega-Millions (175,711,536 : 1) is roughly the same as picking 1 person in the entire state of Florida (18,100,00) or picking 1 person from Coconut Creek,Florida (51,700).

listen. you don't even need math to figure this out. if you have 350 tickets, that's obviously better odds than only having 1.
back to the original statement though: some old lady spending $350 on tickets in one week isn't any worse than what most of us spend on sports bets through out the week. shit. to some people on here (including myself at times) i wish i only lost $350.
plus old ladies live for that shit. they don't give a fuck. you can't take the cash with you when ya die. that's why there's so many damn bingo players.
