Radio Shack's business model can't be sustained anymore.
They survived by selling a bunch of high margin items for electronic equipment.
Problem is that most electronics have been replaced by computers. The high margin cables you can buy on ebay or amazon for a fraction of the price.
Those resisters or whatever that people used to buy to fix electronics are too much trouble for the average American now. Ebay has a rack of used parts that you can get for relatively cheap and not have to worry about soldering with.
They should just quit with the advertising and accept what they are; a niche store that has it's place, but they really need to be strategically placed. 1 store within 10-20 mile radius at most for the customer that needs that specialty item.
