time in space is not a constant. as witnessed by black hole observations the ripple causes confusion, many particles called neutrinos actually travel faster than time as recorded by our super collides. when we begin prep in Illinois we catch these in minisota a couple of days before prep by the time we actually launch we have already caught nearly half after launch the other half. but to test this we began a launch and chose to abort last minute those we caught disappeared. and no new arrivals.
what dr. chu states in quantum physics, is that we are not witnessing space as it is but as it was he states space has recycled about 5 times now. documented by new space about 4 billion years old and the space that existed 12 billion years ago
the new telescope is looking at potential life on a not to distant planet about 4 light years away. called gelize 531 c it has surface water but hubble can not piece the atmosphere and give us any useful information of the surface.
the new scope could potentially see inside a window at that distance and see whats for dinner but it isnt due to launch until 2018 if nasa isnt bankrupted by then.

100,000 light years from one end of our Milky Way to the other. That's just one galaxy filled with 100 billion solar masses.
One light second travels 165,000 miles.
x 100,000.
Amazing work.
Orion galaxy must have been overtime along with 200 billion other galaxies.
You caught me off guard, SearchW. The Orion Constellation (Belt) consists of few stars, it's a constellation withing Milky Way and it's not a galaxy. Andromeda is our closest major galaxy. And yes there are hundreds of billion of galaxies in the universe.

The probe Voyager One is made out of essentially aluminum and travels at 20 times the speed of a bullet. The images relayed to us are amazing.
Voyager reached a solar system well beyond earth at estimated 25 TRILLION miles from home. The planet has been named Santori.(sp)
This trip would take us humans 150,000 years by shuttle to reach.
Moon landing takes 3 days one way.
Go Voyager.
Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode" in the Golden Record aboard the Voyager 1 has probably past our Solar System and entered the interstellar space as of now.

Yes, Orion Constellation massive size is mind blowing. Nebula is within Orion, do I have that right?

way beyond and what we are observing is an event that happened over a billion years ago.
the stars are in our galaxy the nebula is beyond something like three planes vs a star in the middle.the stars vs nebula
Interesting. I'll be more fluent with Nebula by day's end. Our concept and physical definition of life may be too complex. Life that sustains our lives doesn't define "life," Imo.
Are you familiar with a Super Nova?
Hyper Nova?
Fascinating explosion of mathematics, chemistry and physics.

Have to correct ya on that one brother Nature. Orion is considered to be a birth place of stars, or vast star factory some describe.. Scientists say even the birth of the future universe through explosions and total destruction. Aka "Star Birth." Estimates of stars that we can't see beyond earth's gasses estimate trillion or quadrillions stars within Orion.

I believe you are thinking of 90377 Sedna as the planet. Still orbits around our sun but its elongated and takes about 11,400 years to complete. Voyager has yet to reach the Oort Cloud which could take another 300 years for it to get to. Then by NASA estimates, it can take 14,000- 28,000 years to emerge from the Oort Cloud
Like you I find astronomy fascinating. The time and distances in the universe are mind boggling.

"The most important lesson from this paper is that space and time exist only beyond a certain scale," Ali concluded. "There is no space and time below that scale. Hence, it is meaningless to define particles, matter, or any object, including black holes, that exist in space and time below that scale. Thus, as long as we keep ourselves confined to the scales at which both space and time exist, we get sensible physical answers. However, when we try to ask questions at length and time intervals that are below the scales at which space and time exist, we end up getting paradoxes and problems."

Unclear to you ? What is ? Life ?
Something or someone created YOU ! THE EARTH,, and THE HEAVNENS. That's for certain. Or do you think you are just lucky that you landed here on earth ?
Your designer even gave you a manual to guide you. Just as a new car, cell phone, TV, etc. came with instruction book. Your Father gave you the Bible.... with a list of 10 rules to guide you.
A wise son heareth his father, and increase his learning.. but scorner heareth not rebuke.

I call BULLSH!T on this "Designer" and "Father" propaganda.
We are one big Petri Dish orchestrated by some Alien Civilization closer to the center of the Milky Way (we are on the outskirts of town fellas) and therefore much further advanced than we can even imagine.

i can agree that father is an alien for i understand he wasnt born on this earth. and i can understand this is a petri dish of a great experiment. For all things created are for his purpose.
but a small scale universe does exist to us humans
if we take a material such as liquid helium and make it cold like 2 kelvin cold
. it then propagates the same effect as the universe which is around 1 k to 2 k in most parts. and individual atoms can be found in multiple areas in define ment
where galaxies form in the solution and particles god could be a scientist looking at the universe
as we look at a bucket of liquid helium solution....
