Hammer Georgia -3 will lines come out, Because it is going to move up IMO. Florida is getting too much respect from the odds maker due to their past history..

I like Florida in this game and will take the points. Meyer has had a week to prepare for this game after a miserable loss to MSU. Nothing against UGA, but they had the game handed to them last week against UK. Great coaches get their teams extra ready after bye weeks (Spurrier against ALA sound familiar?) so I look for them to get control early in this game and will shut down AJ Green and Ealey got pretty banged up last week but I haven't seen him listed as doubtful as of yet. Like this line now and will love it if it keeps going the other way. Can't wait for the money line on FL, too!

This UGA grad is on the Gators+3. Already seeing RLM @ Pinnacle as they came off the 3 to 2.5 inspite of what appears to be around early 70@ action on Ga.(sportsinsights). Numerous reasons I like this. btw King RB UGA will be back from suspension chasmck. I feel the value is with FL after three losses in a row combined with Ga three wins. Time for the pendulum to swing back more to the norm. Massey ratings still has FL rated higher;defensively too.

I like the over here at 47. UGA has really been clicking on offense (not against the best of defenses) but they still have a lot of momentum heading into this game. I feel like they will get theirs no matter what against a Florida defense that is good, not great though. On the other side of the ball, with a week to prepare, I would expect Florida to be able to put some points up against a defense that can be exposed. Then throw in the fact its on a neutral field with a near 50-50 split

Rainey back and Demps close to 100%. UF is undervalued here imo and is gonna surprise on the upside. 12.5 swing in valuation from last game to this. And this UF offense did lay 29 on LSU inspite of all the injuries. And they have better D than UGA. Hard for a UGA grad to bet on Gators(at least Spurriers gone) but gotta go where I think value exists.

Wouldn't ever bet too much on this rivalry, both seem to rise up and beat the other's better team. This year both UF and UGA have had their share of struggles so the match-up is close. Georgia seems to be the team that really improved when they got Green back as it opened their running game. Florida has struggled when healthy, and also when Demps was hurt. Unless Meyer found a magic solution during the off week, Georgia should cover a 3 point line, but the over might be the better play.
If LSU's offense can score big on Florida, Georgia should too as Murray has a hot hand at QB and Caleb King is back at RB. Florida will always break a play or two due to raw speed on misdirection plays, or swing passes. Question is can Florida pass well enough to take advantage of the Dawgs weak secondary play? The Brantley experiment isn't going well, does Urbie try Burton at QB this week? Still evaluating but a lean on UGA and the over, light to medium plays on this game regardless..

No disrespect but to say both rise up to beat the other's better team is grossly inaccurate. Over the past twenty yrs,UF has probably won 15-16 times. Under Spurrier esp. Trust me..I am a UGA grad and have sufferred through them all.
Having rainey back should have the same impact Green did;plus he's a running threat also. U think UF's offense may have struggled due to the three defenses faced all in a row-Ala,Lsu and Miss ST. on top of the injuries ??
Furthermore,UGA was significantly outgained by KY as far as TY 420vs 290, TOP, and first downs. Uga beneffited significantly from 4 turnovers. I was on UGA-actually the last three weeks-but not this week. U forget FL laid 29 on LSU's defense whereas Aub only garnered 24.
Nonetheless,b2b road games for GA . The bye should help FL immensely. And 70% or so on UGA-a very popular pick. I'll invest in the unpopular sleeping dog.

Was reading in the paper this morn that Meyer is catching all kinds of h----. which is rather surprising in light of what he has accomplished there.Hence, nothing would quieten the clamor like a nice win over dear old UGA. I think he definetly reinstates Rainey-the Florida papers I read alluded to that. Further,Meyer has a long memory-he was infuriated when UGA pulled their infamous whole team celebrating in endzone after TD debacle two years ago.
Thinking the UF players bring the emotional intensity as UGA players could be vulnerable to a "letdown" for lack of a better word after three wins in a row and a quietening of the uproar that was present.

The series goes back much longer than 20 years, and so does my frame of reference. Rivalries aren't about recent trends, they are forever. I have been friends with Spurrier since he was starting at Florida and I can tell you is eats at him to this day about unbeaten Florida losing to UGA in his Heisman year. Much of the time period you refer to was his period against Goff when UF had far superior athletes and better coaching. Total mismatch. The history is filled with upsets (which doesn't apply this year as the teams are pretty close in talent.) Could go either way, UGA looks to be a little better.
As to your stats in the Kentucky game, go beyond the headline. The reason for the difference in total yards was that Kentucky ran 23 more plays. Both teams averaged 5.7 yards a play but UGA had short fields all night due to Kentucky turnovers. UGA had a big lead the whole game and only passed 12 times. they were just running the ball because they could, and you want to shorten a game when you have a big lead against a team that has a decent offense. That score could have been much worse, and the outcome was never in doubt. UGA has been running the ball better since Sturdivant came back on the OL, and Murray has been one of the top rated passers all year, even as a RS frosh.
Why would you think UF will play any harder to prevent their 4th loss at neutral site than they did to avoid their 3rd at home? They will play hard because it is a rivalry, so will UGA. (Florida is wearing some Nike gimmicky unis this year.) Risky game to bet, but Florida's offense has been struggling since the opener. QB and kicking edge to UGA makes me take them, but not heavy. Should be fun to watch. GL to all.

Interesting stuff Mr Scotch. Yes,I just go back 20 yrs-UF has beaten them 16 times. JIm Donnan was there for five yrs-actuallly he was the first to beat them in a long time. Remember it was his first yr. at UGA . Richt has been here since 90.
U may know the Gators better than I do. Yes,moving Sturdivant around has helped things as the play action is now working much better I understand also. I could be flat out wrong re the outcome. I'm speculating UF is better than their recent performance and we will see a much improved overall effort-offensively,special teams and penalties esp.
It has got to be a factor UGA having had no break, respite and UF having one.The UGA kids have been through alot-are they possibly a little physically and emotional run down ?
Why did Pinnacle come down off the 3 Monday with majority of wagers on UGA ???

ps...I'm sorry u have been friends with Spurrier. :) The only ultra-successful coach who regularly mocks and makes disparaging comments re his opponents. I'm surprised Billy Payne lets him play golf here at The National. :)

Apparently play calling duties turned over to someone else. Also Bentley's bruised ribs r much better. I'm thinking this bye week was healthy in numerous ways. This team is better than record indicates when healthy.
Terrible tragedy re ND student killed at practice.

Perhaps FLA may be a different club with Rainey back and a healthy Demps...and Brantley. ?? I saw where line was down to 2 @ Bookmaker this morn. Still thinking FL gonna play better than expected. If not...should be great weather for the practice tee.

Dawgs. Everybody mentioning Dawgs are overvalued and Gators undervalued. Let's see here... UGA crush 3 SEC teams in a row and Florida loses to 3 SEC teams in a row. Hmmm.... I wonder who should be favored!?? Dawgs have a better QB, best receiver in the nation, a defense only giving up about 17-18 points a game... I'm saying Dawgs cover the number barely but I'm just so shocked at how everyone thinks the Gators are undervalued. I thought this line would open at -4 or -5 instead of -1.5.
