MTS....I put this on top because on the (surface) it looks like a great play...and if week 1-3 or so it would be... but watchout as MTS should be more focused on Sun Belt play....they play one of these games about this time most years... *2011 week 8 at Tenn (L 24-0 ...+22)...2010 week 6 at Ga Tech (L42-14...+19).....2009 week 6 at Miss St (L27-6...+4')...2008 week 7 at Louisville (L 42-23...+14')......earlier in the year they are a great dog historically *Miss St has been weak in this spot...MTS has already beaten Ga Tech on the road YY...MSU has Bama on deck
2011 Tenn was off 4 straight losses >> reason to focus and beat up on someone
2009 Miss St off 3 straight losses >> ditto
Your theory seems to hold true for GT in 2010 and UL in 2008, but this really looks like a special case with an overrated MSU being told how great they are with a chance to prove it against #1 Bama in a week.

and now....MTS RB Benny Cunningham is OFY...... *vs Ga Tech had 217 yds rush and 5 TD's *230 rushing and 55 receiving vs FIU * av 6.2/rush for the year

BA, thanks for pulling this info together. Very helpful! Look forward to your picks.
Good luck!

don't like to post picks without some write-ups.....which takes time > which is why I usually post them later
but so far....
one unit ..... Houston -4' Ga Tech -13' BYU +14' Navy -3 TCU +3* LSU -3
smaller..... Ariz St +10 N Mex +11....Lobos cannot be stopped!...... Ohio St -17 Marshall +3* USF +7 Okie St -14 Wyoming +17 Tulane +15 !!
*bought hook
thinking about.... Wisky.....K St / WV OVER...or KSU TT over.....La Tech or TT over.....Terps....S Caro.....Cinn / Tol Over..... NW....WF...Ball St *no....not all straight bets...usually sprinkle in an ill-advised teaser or two.......
** thinking hard about Miss St....based on chance of MTS 'mailing this one in'......gonna read local papers and try to get a feel.....gotta like how Mullen went for the late COVER last week.....for whatever reason... they have farted around with these teams too often...and BADLY need a blow-out confidence building win here before Bama..........

BTW.....gonna add to Tulane I believe.....carefully
WTF?.....you say
Key is the return of QB Ryan Griffin *he's played twice this year Week 1 vs Rutgers...TU lost 24-12....he was 34-48/254 yds.....1/1......71% vs a pretty tough D Wave was only down 10-6 in 4th.....
And last week vs SMU.....Tulane won 27-26....
Miners are beat up and locals are calling for HC Price's head...little to suggest Miners blow Tulane out .....if RB Darkwa is 100% too....Tulane can win this one

Watching the NT/UL game tonite and listening to Andre Ware.....as some of you may remember...he was the QB at Houston late 80's.....won the Heisman in '89
*if you think that Leach and Holgorsen are crazy....they ain't got nuthin on the original mad scientist...crazy ass John Jenkins....one of the greatest (if not THE) greatest offensive minds ever.......
he can't get a job because everybody is scared to hire him......fired ....supposedly.....at Houston for slipping PORN into the game film reel........
*that Cougar team was maybe the most explosive EVER....as he was doing then what Holgorsen/Leach are doing now....but vs defenses designed to stop the run ......

awesome stuff assassin as usual....i know you touched on these games a lil bit already but i want your thoughts on houston - 5.5?...and asu + 10?..now +8.5?.......u still like houston at - 5.5?...what about asu down to + 8.5?....thanks

Won't OU/KU go over easily, especially with Cummings at QB?
holy crap that is a low number...tough spot really for OU....with Irish on deck.....so OVER....maybe a much better idea ....when it's 50-7 early in the 4th....sorry Jayhawks should get a few late TD's

for me a small play on Ariz St at 10 or so.....at 8'?....I would probably just back off because Ducks are just too explosive....maybe just bet at halftime or in-game.. *I would think Ariz St jumps out to an early lead....as their DL might give Ducks REAL issues...as usual Ducks come back in a big way 2H....their D really tightens up 2H as well......but....Devils are still a VERY underrated team....Vegas has them (about) the 25th best team...which is maybe 10 spots too low....but we'll see
I don't like betting against the home team on these weekday games...but Houston should handle SMU pretty easily.....so 5' should work.....just wouldn't get too excited playing a weekday road favorite.... *speaking of halftime plays.....Cougs a noted slow starter....and could be a great halftime play here....no shock if Ponies up at halftime
Key here ?...worst passing O in the (weak) CUSA? why the SMU Mustangs......Gilbert completing less than 50%....with 7 TD/11 INT....worst passer rating.....worst yards/att.....SMU cannot rush the passer (#99)....or protect the passer (#92).......Cougs can protect (#18) and rush the passer (#4).....home teams have weak advantage here too.....covering just 4 of last 11 meetings .........

The well-documented confrontation stemmed from Christensen's belief that Air Force encouraged Falcons quarterback Connor Dietz to fake or exaggerate an injury while exiting the field after his helmet came off during a play.
Dietz, who Calhoun later said took a blow to the head on the play, remained on the field near the sideline while trainers tended to him. The next play, Air Force backup quarterback Kale Pearson scored a touchdown on a third-and-5 from Wyoming's 5-yard line.
Here is what Calhoun said...
aid:
“For our guys, I think anytime you are an officer candidate, there are different scenarios in life from which you must learn. I’m not saying it’s the same. But there’s definitely some learning experiences that can occur. When Jane Fonda, in 1972, went and was cozy with the North Vietnamese and denounced those that were in the Air Force, there’s something drawn from that. I think, Saturday, there’s something you can draw from different instances in life. Certainly that’s the case. I think as you go through and you progress forward, as an officer, you are going to fight for those freedoms, for the First Amendment. And that First Amendment can be used in various ways. If you go fly a bunch of missions, or you're deployed, or you’re involved in combat and return to your country, there could be different marches or different things that are said to you. You’ve got to know that can occur. But you march forward, too.”
