Okay this is a classic tale of a school's reputation effecting the spread. UCLA has been awful this year, and while they attempted to right the ship by winning 3 out of 4 down the stretch... one problem. The teams they beat suck.
They have gone 3-6 since the month of October.. those 3 wins are hardly impressive. At home, they beat Arizona State and squeaked by Washington by a point. Their other win was on the road vs Washington State. Basically, UCLA has played poorly all year, but beat up a couple of poor teams late in the season to get themselves into this bowl.
On the other hand, Temple has just gone 9-1 SU in their last 10 and 8-3 ATS in the last 11. I realize that this is against MUCH worse competition in the MAC but something is to be said for teams that consistently WIN, at any level. Freshman running back Bernard Pierce will play an intricate role in this game.. if he goes off I can see Temple winning this one SU.
UCLA vs Temple +4.5
Champs Sports Bowl
This one seems to be almost too easy to cap -- could be deadly. I watch a lot of Big 10 college football and I love the hell out of it. Its a much different brand of football then whats played down in ACC/SEC country.
Miami has a definite edge in pure athleticism and they should be able to take advantage of this on both sides of the ball. I think the key to the game will be the Canes getting really aggressive on 1st and 2nd down... if they can put Wisconsin in 3rd and longs consistently this should be a blowout.

Thats funny how people say UCLA's wins were against bad teams. UCLA beat Washington a team that beat USC and has possibly the #1 QB in country. UCLA beat Tenn on road, the same Tenn team that should have beat Bama and gave UF all they can handle.
Temple did not play the top 3 teams in Mac and when they played one of the top teams they got blasted
Does anyone think that Tenn or Wash lose a single game if they played in the MAC? I don't!!!! K .State and Arizona St woudl also be favored to win the mac if they played in that league. So be careful when you are looking at quality of wins. Hmm ASU vs Buffalo? KSU vs Bowling Green? Tenn vs Akron?
